Fun day of ancient ruins and waterfalls - Great combination of Mayan Culture and Belizean waterfall fun. Our guide knew all the great Mayan facts about Xunantunich where we could appreciate the ancient site, the history and the views. Then we met up with the pontoon boat waterfall tour where we visited two waterfalls and had lunch with time to swim and jump off cliffs. The first waterfall was a great adventure and the highlight, which was a combination of walking/climbing up the calcified waterfalls where the calcium in the water and rocks allows your bare feet to the grip and walk up the waterfall . It was great and the fam had tons of fun doing it.

You won’t regret booking this tour! - Fantastic day visiting the ruins and on the pontoon. Our guide Nadir was really friendly, great with the kids and very knowledgeable - he made sure we had a great time. The highlight for us was definitely climbing up the sandpaper waterfall - really special place. There are also opportunities to jump off the boat and be towed on the tube. You definitely need to be pretty active and adventurous to make the most of this tour. You can also spot lots of wildlife on the river including birds, turtles, iguanas and crocs!! The pontoon was a little ramshackle, and had definitely seen better days, but we never felt unsafe. The food they served up was very tasty and the crew were all friendly and lots of fun. The drive down to the river is REALLY bumpy but all part of the adventure!

Nadir is the GOAT!! - Nadir was the absolute BEST tour guide! He was on time, professional, extremely knowledgeable, a great photographer and not to mentioned he has a wonderful sense of humour! Nadir and the pontoon boat crew made everyone feel welcome and comfortable which made our day of adventuring memorable. I would highly recommend this tour.

100% recommend - My little sister and I originally booked this tour and wanted to cancel because we wanted to go see Tikal instead. We didn’t end up canceling after all and I’m so glad that was the case! Nadir was our guide and he was so accommodating/patient and made it everything so much fun. Xunantunich was really cool but the best part for us was definitely the pontoon cruise. We went swimming in the river, saw a bunch of waterfalls/even climbed one, and went tubing. I don’t normally leave reviews but this recommendation is one I’m very happy to give.

A wonderful, fun and interesting day! - Such a fun and cool tour! The jungle pontoon boat is outstanding and the crew is welcoming, kind and great with kids. The lunch was the best we of the 5 tours we took during our trip! Giovanni brought the Xunantunich Maya ruins to life with an informative and fun tour. My favorite part was hiking up the waterfall, the mineral content of the water made the rocks sticky so we could climb up the wet rocks like Spider-Man, so cool!

Had an amazing experience - Nadir was a great guide! He was a great storyteller while telling us the history of the ruins. While on the pontoon boat he cooked us a very delicious meal and encouraged us to explore the water and the waterfalls. We had an amazing time 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic unique experience! - Run by a group of brothers who were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We visited Xunantunich first followed by pontoon waterfall tour which was in perfect order. The temple was an incredible experience, my first time visiting one. We went across the river on a hand crank ferry and spent about 1.5-2 hours there. The drive to the pontoon boat was long (maybe an hour?) and in parts super bumpy but you get used to it and we found it fun looking out the window at the countryside and the small towns. The pontoon boat was hand made so don’t expect fancy but we loved it. It was very big with an upper deck so we got to spread out. There were 10 of us total including another party so it was a nice small group also. We did a small hike to one waterfall went for a swim and then docked by another where there was a rope swing above the water. They served an amazing lunch freshly cooked and grilled on the boat. The river itself was beautiful and we had fun looking for alligators and birds!

Must do and off the beaten path. - The jungle boat was insane! Still can’t believe we got a tour to ourselves for our anniversary. From the off-roading to the amazing food on the boat, Jungle Splash was the best thing ever. Besides our guide! Nadir was the best!!

Best Eco Tour - This was by far the best eco tour we have experienced. The three waterfalls were amazing, the pontoon boat was comfortable and stable, the water was clear and perfect for swimming, and the host and his son were informed, friendly, and kind. We were impressed and will go back again.

An Exciting Trip - Our guide Nadie was so knowledgeable about the ruins and also provided us insights on the culture of this beautiful country. We also took the tour of the river, swam in the waterfalls and enjoyed a leisurely trip down the river while eating a delicious meal prepared on board by Nasir. Giovani was also a great host. He added humor and always extended a hand when we needed help maneuvering the trails. A great trip. Even enjoyed the bumpy ride to the river.
