Personal experiences with multiple groups: It was a splendid day just southern to Florence where we visited the American World War II Memorial and Cemetery commemorating those who bravely battled and lost their lives in the Italian Theater. The setting, remarkable and moving, proved apt for paying homage to our fallen American soldiers.
We managed to fit in a visit to one of Tuscany’s most ancient butcheries located in Greve, and a delightful family-owned olive oil plantation and vineyard in Castelina di Chianti. Memorable moments were created with this phenomenal group hailing from Florida, Colorado, and South Dakota. Eagerly anticipating our next journey as we conclude our current one tomorrow and prepare for our return.
