Wealth of hidden information we wouldn’t have known had we not signed up for this walking tour
Patricia was an excellent and most knowledgeable guide. Her pleasant and kind demeanor could make anyone feel comfortable talking with her. Her experience with Precita Eyes and her personal involvement as an artist gave such personal insight to the murals that was a privilege to learn about. Thank you so much for doing these tours the murals are not only beautiful but an important look at not only the history of San Francisco but our country as well. They are not only important to our past but still contain much that is applicable to problems in our society today. This tour was one of the highlights of our visit here. If you are a lover of art and history I cannot recommend this tour enough.
The knowledgeable and lively description of how the murals came to be--including all the community support--as well as the technical know-how behind them was great. I pay more attention to all murals now. My only complaint is that the website does not allow participants to take advantage of the discounts listed for San Francisco residents and seniors. I feel I got my money's worth anyway, but the program should not offer what it cannot deliver.
Excellent tour! Wonderful to have a tour with Precita Eyes founder and muralist. One issue--we went to the wrong starting point at Precita Eyes on 24th and not at Precita Park. For future tours make sure this is clear.
