Dan is amazing. Although we wandered through the Little Saigon area, Dan recognized that we are foodies and mixed it up a bit for us. So many great places, and Dan is full of trivia and foodie info. I'll definitely be taking his Chinatown tour. Having grown up there, I'm sure we will get all kinds of inside tips and info. Can't wait. I do a lot of tours as you can see on my blog - www.sflocalsguide,com, and Dan is the best so far! Thank you!

Wonderful time, really surprising food tour. We had no idea what to expect, but on we went with a sense of adventure, as readied ourselves to explore this traditionally rough and tumble, inner-city neighborhood. The confirmation email suggested not to wear flashy jewelry, that statement alone made us a but apprehensive. But luckily, the tour company was just being cautious, and we never felt threatened the entire evening. This neighborhood is an enclave for not just Vietnamese, but a couple blocks from Little Saigon's main drag, Larkin Street, a whole new world of other immigrant groups opens up: One block of sidewalk cafe's and hookah lounges featured mainly Pakistani and Indian food eateries, we ate lavishly here, but also went to a Turkish restaurant, a Southern BBQ place, and Ethiopian cafe for coffee, and had dessert at an English toffee shop! Great fun. Thank you ExploreSF

Dan was our guide at the ferry building and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was more than generous in having us sample anything in the ferry building, from Slanted Door spring rolls to seafood gumbo. Even though my wife and I live in San Francisco and have visited the Ferry Building before, we left knowing a lot more of the history and the vendors there. I then did the Little Saigon Tour with Dan, and he took me to places that I would not have gone on my own. Now I knwo where to dine while on Jury Duty for the next 2 months!
Overall, 5 star service and value. Will definitely use Explore SF and especially Dan again.
