The guide Pam was just awesome! She has a well of knowledge that pours out about the history of Tenderloin, and we gained a very warm impression of the community that exists in the area. I have been a hospice volunteer at Laguna Honda Hospital and have always been interested to get to know more about Tenderloin area since many of the patients are from the area. I now am ready to begin my project to talk to people about Advance Directive, and I will be back every week. Thank you so much! You provide a valuable service, not only for local techies and tourists, but also for nursing students. I feel that the tour should be included in Public Health Nursing of BSN and MSN curriculum. Best Regards, Shizuka Sudo, RN

Pam is a captivating, excellent tour guide. She inspired our group to see the Tenderloin in a different way, without feeling shameful or guilty. She bridged gaps for us that we may not have otherwise been able to see. Overall, definitely a highlight of our trip. Thank you!

We enjoyed the individual attention and small group size. The guides were very familiar with the TL and its history. Also, they were open to discussing their personal experiences and tailoring the tour to our interests. Both our guides also provided followup information that was helpful to our particular interests. Really appreciated it!

My tour guide Pam Coates revealed much more beauty and community than I understood existed in the Tenderloin. I took the tour to get to know more about my city, and to feel less afraid in that specific neighborhood, and that was exactly what happened. I felt comfortable and informed and inspired by the tour, and want to take it again to deepen my understanding. Well worth it. I highly recommend.
