Review of San Francisco Architecture Tour. - Our guide, Jamie was terrific! The broad base and depth of his knowledge of many, many building in downtown San Francisco is unparalleled. Jamie explained the building's style, when it was constructed, who owns it now, it's current purpose, who was the architect as well as other buildings the architect designed. He is also very friendly, personal and enthusiastic about sharing his extensive knowledge with others. All of this without any notes. If you are interested in an Architecture Tour of SF look no further. This is the best.

The perfect blend of history, modern design, and expert local insight – an unforgettable walk through the heart of San Francisco - My wife and I joined the Real San Francisco architecture tour in December 2025, led by our guide, Jamie. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The 2.5-hour tour began at the Mechanics Monument and concluded near the SFMOMA (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art). Jamie was a fantastic guide with a deep knowledge of the area's history, iconic buildings, and public art installations. We were particularly impressed by the Salesforce Park (the "park in the sky"), which is a stunning example of modern urban design. Throughout the walk, Jamie shared fascinating details about the local businesses and the evolution of public spaces. A great touch was when Jamie showed us visual references of other works by the same architects and shared glimpses of upcoming projects currently in the planning stages. I’ve attached some photos from our walk, including the historic Shell Building, the impressive Salesforce Tower, and some of the vibrant public sculptures we encountered. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the intersection of architecture and history!

Uncover SF’s Downtown Architecture & Hidden Gems - We’re Bay Area locals, but we still learned so much from Jaime. He brought downtown San Francisco’s history and architecture to life—from iconic buildings to hidden alleys, public art, and the city’s public spaces. The tour in the East Cut area was fascinating, showing its evolution into high-rises, tech offices like LinkedIn and Meta, and the expansive and beautiful Salesforce Park. This wasn’t just an architecture tour—it was a walk through SF’s history since 1906. Jaime’s knowledge and enthusiasm make it a must-do!

Great tour! - Jamie is a wealth of knowledge and passionate about sharing architecture with people. I thought he was engaging. The material was interesting. The walk was just enough for me. It was a lovely way to spend the morning and it made me admire the skyline more. The architecture in San Francisco is very interesting and just looking around purposely was great.

A little history, a little art, a story about a city’s growth - Jaime is a knowledgeable guide that listens to his audience to shape the tour. You’ll see hidden art down alleys and overlooked public spaces and he’ll point out architectural elements that show the timeline of SF’s progress. If you are looking for the highlights of SF as a first time tourist, this is not for you, this is a unique opportunity to learn more about a specific area and finding hidden gems. We loved it, and I will come back with some of my friends! Also, its not a lot of walking, it’s a mild pace and not tiring at all.

Awesome Team Activity - Jamie nailed this tour! Our company offsite was located in San Francisco this week and we wanted to find a non-boating activity. Jamie’s knowledge about the architecture downtown is expansive, but we especially loved his focus on public spaces and art. Our group was half local and half not, and even the locals said they learned so much about the area. And they have commuted and worked there for many years! Jamie was a perfect fit for our group and it was a highlight of our week. Perfect team building activity for nerdy, transit industry professionals. We hope to see Jamie again in the future.
