• Muir Woods National Monument - Spend one hour and twenty minutes in Muir Woods, a U.S. National Monument. Located just 12 miles north of the city, witness the tallest trees in the world, the Coastal Sequoias. Millions of years ago, sequoia trees thrived across North America. Today, they are found only along the coasts of California and Oregon. By the early 20th century, most were destroyed by fires and human activity. One valley, Redwood Canyon, remained untouched due to its inaccessibility. Marvel at the majestic trees and possibly encounter deer, turkeys, chipmunks, and squirrels. Enjoy the forest air and the stunning beauty of the tallest living organisms on Earth.

• Sausalito - After visiting Muir Woods, head to Sausalito, one of America’s most picturesque towns. With stunning views of the Bay, islands, bridges, yachts, excellent seafood restaurants, art galleries, and souvenir shops, Sausalito is a true gem!

• Pier 33 - Return from Sausalito to Pier 33, Alcatraz Landing.

• Alcatraz Island - Following Sausalito, proceed to Alcatraz Landing at Pier 33 in the city. Here, board a boat to Alcatraz, a small island in San Francisco Bay that housed a federal penitentiary from 1934 to 1963. It held some of America’s most notorious prisoners, including gangsters, infamous bank robbers, and murderers. Spend as much time as you like, but be sure not to miss the last boat!
