Excellent Tour Guide and Great Tour - We had a great time. Dave is an excellent tour guide, explaining all about the history of Blue Heron Lake and Golden Gate Park. We took the twilight tour in hopes of seeing a great horned owl. Although we didn't see one, it wasn't Dave's fault. Right next to the spot we went to, folks were playing volleyball and were making a lot of noise, which kept the owl in the tree we were at from coming out. But when we got back to the parking lot, we were thrilled when Dave heard a female great horned owl whoo'ing to her mate. He'd seen her before in that tree so he knew it was a female great horned owl. We were so excited. We'll go again and hope to see a Great Horned Owl another time. Highly recommend the tour. I bet the daytime tour also will be great.

Knowledgable and Friendly Tour - booked a tour a few weeks ago with 2 friends and had a great time! Dave is very knowledgable about the park's wildlife, in some cases, even down to individual animals. Also dropped plenty of park history as he led the route, and while always on the lookout for wildlife and interesting spots. Saw a wild range of animals. The blue herons were the coolest, was surprised to these large birds nest high in tree tops in Stow Lake. Attached some photos Dake took on my tour.

Perfect for both residents and visitors - Extremely happy that I happened upon Beasts of the Bay Tours. As a long time resident of SF, I am always in the park searching for wildlife, but not in the evenings.. This Twight tour gave me the opportunity to search and observe , owls and coyotes ( when most active.) as well as other wild residents of the park. , Dave also reacquainted  me with much of the Golden Gate Park History. Extremely knowledgeable, and totally engaging, Dave is the perfect host…Take a Twilight Walk on the wild side with Dave…. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!…Lookin forward to my next

Dave is the best! - Our Twilight Tour with Dave exceeded our expectations! He was so knowledgeable about Golden Gate Park, and everything he said we would see, we saw—and more! Including owls, coyotes, cormorants, herons, and hummingbirds. He even shared some fun lore about the park with us 😉 It’s a great opportunity to get to know GGP’s creatures and critters more intimately, and there are so many good photo opportunities for the photographers out there. Would (and have been!) recommend to anyone!

Amazing tour and wildlife! - We saw and learned so much on our walking tour. Dave was a great tour host and gave us a great mix of local wildlife facts and Golden Gate park history. We saw a little bit of everything and were lucky to have a beautiful SF day. We would highly recommend this tour!

Great tour for families! - Our family really enjoyed this tour! Our kids are 11 and 14 and they enjoyed learning about the Golden Gate Park and so did we. Dave is super knowledgeable about the local history and wildlife! It was the perfect way for us to spend and afternoon in San Francisco.
