Discover San Francisco—the City by the Bay, known for its rolling hills and endless water views—with Unlimited Biking on a scenic ride along the city’s beautiful waterfront, over the Golden Gate Bridge, and into the charming coastal town of Sausalito.
Tours depart daily at 10am from 2800 Leavenworth Street and run for three hours. To ensure a personalized guest experience, each tour is limited to a small group of no more than 15 guests.
Setting off from Ghirardelli Square at the western end of Fisherman’s Wharf, guests will cycle through the green hillsides of Fort Mason, the Marina District, and Crissy Field, then up and across the Golden Gate Bridge before descending through the Marin Headlands into Sausalito.
Once there, guests may choose to explore Sausalito on their own or take the ferry back to San Francisco.
Guests on this small-group bike tour will be fitted with high-quality bikes.
- No customer under the age of 18 will be given a bike without an adult over the age of 18 present
- All guests must be able to ride a bicycle on their own
- You must be at least 13 years old to ride an electric bike
- The maximum weight limit for bike rentals is 300 pounds

Good partner for renting bicycles. - Hassle-free booking, and the pickup of the e-bikes went smoothly as well. Good, fully functional bicycles.

It was a great... - It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend the e-bike option--the others on our tour didn't choose this option and they were struggling!

Nothing is a great tour... - Nithin is a great tour guide. He gave us lots of stories about places we saw and he went at our pace. We had a lot of stops to take in the scenery.

Great way to see the city! - E-bike is virtually a must, as there are several uphill climbs on the tour and the extra boost comes in handy. If you book a tour, you essentially have the bike for 8-9 hours; with the tour ending in Sausalito, you have an option of taking a ferry back to San Francisco. But unless there's bad weather or an issue with the bike (i.e. flat tire), I HIGHLY recommend biking back across the Golden Gate Bridge, gives you time to see additional sights on your own.

Best way to cross the bridge!!! - Really enjoyed this tour. John was a great guide - kept a sensible pace, looked out for us all and was full of useful information about San Francisco and the surrounding area.
There’s a couple of slightly challenging hills - not unexpected for SF! - but we never felt rushed and when I got off and pushed my bike up the tough hills, I was never made to feel uncomfortable or held the group back.
The last bit of the ride down to Sausalito is lovely - and all downhill - so a great way to finish!
A lovely way to see some of the City and cross the bridge - would highly recommend!

fun private bike tour for the family - We had a great private tour with John from Unlimited Biking San Francisco. We were a family of 5, with children ages 4, 8, and 12. John was great at pacing the outing to our family's needs, did not feel rushed. The kids enjoyed the history and facts throughout the ride. This was a great way to see the Golden Gate bridge and get the family moving for the day.

Relaxing, scenic ride across the Golden Gate Bridge - We went on the Golden Gate Bridge Guided eBike Tour. We had Drake and Ben help us. One helped me check in and one led the tour. I enjoyed the eBike tour. The day was beautiful and I enjoyed the spectacular views riding across the Golden Gate Bridge.
When I checked in, I had to wait a few minutes while they sorted out my reservation information. I had paid for my husband and I to have eBikes but I was told I had a regular bike. They checked and I was told I still had a regular bike. I was told that I could upgrade to eBikes. I explained that I had paid $206.40 which are ebike prices. They told me since I had booked third party, I may have had to pay higher prices for regular bikes. Finally, they got the information that we had ebikes and everything was straightened out.
Our guide was informative and gave us stopping points throughout the tour to give us information and gave us a chance to take pictures. One of the members in our group had a bike that stopped working. Our guide graciously rode the broken ebike and let the member in our group ride his bike.
I did enjoy the guided ebike tour to Sausalito. We ate lunch in Sausalito and then returned back in a ferry.

Unlimited biking fisherman's wharf - san francisco: ABSOLUTELY AVOID - Deplorable reception, no organization and equipment in poor condition or even dangerous.
We had reserved 4 electric bikes for the day with boat return from Sausalito. We arrived early in the morning. Just one person to take care of everyone. And not particularly friendly. After a while of waiting, she ended up giving us bikes with sizes that didn't suit us and without any explanation. We had to restart it several times to get it to change our bikes. A kinder colleague arrived and provided us with a minimum of explanation. But he had to leave immediately to get boat tickets for people who, like us, had booked the return trip by boat, explaining to us that we had to wait for his return to leave. There were several families involved. We had to wait at least 1-1.5 hours to get our bikes and our return boat tickets. We did what we could to collect helmets and anti-theft devices because no one was taking care of us.
Once on the road, my husband noticed that his bike braked extremely poorly, me, that my electric assistance was non-existent when we had to climb the first steep hill of the Presidio, and that we had no bell on the bikes to warn other cyclists or pedestrians, which is extremely dangerous on the Golden Gate where we share the lane!
On the way back, a young man sitting behind his counter nodded at us to leave our bikes outside. Not a word, not a smile, not a goodbye.... Mind-blowing.
The Golden Gate by bike and the return by ferry from Sausalito is to be done but not with this bike rental company!
