Awesome Bike Tour of San Fran - We had a day to kill in San Francisco on our massive trip of the US and decided to book this tour. Our tour guide Ryan was amazing - he was extremely passionate about San Francisco and its history. He was accommodating of all four members of our party and differing levels of fitness and bike ability. Highly recommend this tour to see the sights - ending in the beautiful Sausalito with a quick ferry ride back to SF.

A Fantastic First E-Bike Adventure with Bay City Bike Tours! - Never before had we experienced the joy of gliding along on an E-Bike – we are so glad we chose Bay City Bike Tours for our initiation! With a friendly set-up and very straightforward to use bikes, we were on our way in no time at all. In true San Francisco style, it was a little wet at times (always have your coat handy in this city), but our guide, Ryan Coats, was fantastic – he made it a fun and entertaining experience from start to finish. He not only took us along the promenade route and across the famous Golden Gate Bridge, but also through some of the local neighbourhoods so we could experience the city’s wonderful array of architecture. This also gave us the chance to enjoy the seasonal spectacle that is American Halloween, spotting some wonderfully spooky delights along the way – from giant skeletons to vast spider webs – adding a unique flavour to the ride. Of course, the highlight was crossing the Golden Gate Bridge itself! Truly an inspiring feat of engineering, with unbeatable views of the great bay. Ryan was deeply knowledgeable about the area’s history, and we learned so many fascinating facts from him. The tour finished in Sausalito around noon, where we were free to explore with the bikes until 7:30 pm. There was ample time to enjoy everything via the best form of transportation! Adventurous souls can easily visit the nearby natural gems of Marin County, but Sausalito itself offers plenty of fabulous food outlets and quaint little shops – a charmingly relaxed contrast to the big-city bustle across the water. There’s also a ferry return option for those with tired legs, though we chose to ride back the scenic way and relive the route all over again! Had we been staying in San Francisco for longer, we would definitely have returned to take advantage of Bay City Bike Tours and their generous, liberating tours of the city.
