Great activity to do with family in town daytime. Alternately sunset ride for a couple. Scheduled online for the next day, Sun Aug 4 '19. It was quick and easy. Height and weight required matched appropriate horses for the riders. The horses followed the guide the whole way and were very calm, no saddle-soreness & we'd only ridden elsewhere once before long ago. There were 4 of us including me, my niece, a lady who was visiting the farm animals, and the guide on our ride who was fun and friendly. Chose the 1.5 hour beach ride. It was great. Was glad the horses were not stationed on the beach, since I'd actually wanted to do a bit of trail ride as well. The journey fulfilled a trail and beach desire nicely! Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled time as asked to sign, then add an additional 20-30 minutes (horse-prep saddling etc & trailer loading) to the 1.5 hr horseback ride. 1.5 hr ride after loading, includes a 5 minute caravan to the beach from the farm stables and unloading of the horses which was quick enough. Found the whole time to be cool & very enjoyable, the guide's horse was entertaining on the beach while the guide took a few pictures w/our phones. 20 minute or so horse loading time waiting at the farm stables was fun, since they offered for us go into the goat pen while waiting, which had 8-10 friendly goats and a shy llama. Also were a couple sleeping hogs, a cute pig and a pony, maybe even more farm animals that we missed. Day ride summertime is nice with good breeze at the beach, great getaway from summer heat. They have an option for a potential same-day ride too - Must call for same-day it is not available for online booking- I called in the morning Saturday and received a call back about an hour later stating that there was indeed availability.

We had a fantastic beach ride with our guide! A truly unique experience, and one we will always remember. Thanks a bunch!

I booked online in March for a ride at the end of April. I received a confirmation email the day prior of our ride but when we showed up for our scheduled time the next day at 10am, nobody was there. We waited for some time and then a lady came out and said that she didn't know that there was a ride scheduled for today. She said the manager "John" wasn't there so she called him and told us that if we came back by 11 30 that he would be there and things would be ready to go. We left and then came back at 11:30 and John still was not there but there were other workers there but they were still getting the horses ready. The lady took us out and was our guide even though John was supposed to be, she said. We didn't start our ride until after 12. The whole time on our ride, all the lady did was complain and go on and on about John while she kept swearing and told us all this bad stuff about him. Before our ride, they other workers asked if we were experienced riders and when we said "not really" they seemed shocked and surprised. I had been on a few horse rides before but the rest of my company had not. The ride itself did not require you to be an experienced rider in my opinion. If being an experienced rider is what they want, I think that they should state that somewhere online on their website. At the end of our ride, while waiting to get off the horse, I pulled the rein back a little bit to slow the horse down and a guy worker told me "I told you, you can't do that." and seemed upset. I didn't pull hard but felt stupid. When we drove back to the ranch, there was another couple there waiting to go on their ride which I thought was weird because the workers kept saying before that they didn't know they had a ride today but they actually had another one right after ours! Maybe their online system has a problem so I could call and make an appointment with them if you want to schedule a ride with this company.
