Our Sunset Sailing Tours on San Diego Bay offer a first-hand observation of the picturesque seashore buildings, naval vessels, ancient ships and monuments, native underwater creatures, and remarkable opportunities for photography.
- Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed due to late or non-arrival of cruise ship or flight.
- Our office hours are 12pm until the sunset sail departure. Leave a voice or text message outside of those hours and we will get back to you.
- Be sure to follow the link under “Special Instructions” on your Viator ticket after booking for a detailed map, photos, directions & video of our meeting point.
- This is a shared experience.
- Minimum drinking age is 21 years.
- Each person regardless of age MUST have a ticket due to strict Coast Guard regulations. This includes infants of any age. Extra person’s regardless of age that arrive and put us over our passenger limit will be denied boarding.
- We sail as scheduled in the event of light rain.
- We are located at Safeharbor Sunroad Marina, 945 Harbor Island Dr. San Diego, CA 92109. We will meet at Gate 1 Docks A-D
- We cannot guarantee seperate reservations will be on the same boat due to strict coast guard capacity safety rules. to ensure your entire party sails together, only make 1 reservation for your entire group.

Arrive 20 minutes early so you have time to find the gate. We are unable to hold the boat if your running late.

Great experience! - We really enjoyed the entire experience. However, I have trouble with neuropathy and arthritic ankles also some stability issues so I found it difficult getting on and off the boat. Adam, our captain, was very helpful and assisted me both times. I think it should be noted in your literature that people with disabilities may find it challenging getting on and off the boat unless carefully assisted.

Sunset skies, balmy breeze and new friends - Our Captain, Derick, was a great host. Introduced us to all and offered plentiful wine.
Had an excellent tour and learned some new SD bay facts, even though we’re familiar with the area. The most fun was the banter with new friends. Thanks Derek for a professional sail and best wishes in the future. .

Wonderful sailing experience with our family - The owner was amazing and accommodated us on a different day for sailing when our little daughter had a bad cough. He was kind and understanding.
The actual sailing trip was so beautiful and fun. Our captain Adam was great. Small groups and so professional. Thank you for a great outing !

Serene sail in bay - Skilled skipper single-handled departure and return to slip. Sailing in harbor was serene, no real wind.

Sailboat sunset cruise - This 2 hour cruise was so tranquil and peaceful. Our guide Adam was the kindest and humblest man. He really made our sail worth it. To top it off the cruise ended with an unexpected firework show on the navy ship. So cool to see from the water. I would definitely recommend this sail to everyone. Thanks again Adam for being so sweet and generous.

Make sure you get there... - Make sure you get there early in case you have a hard time finding the dock. Great views of downtown and the coast. There was complementary wine and we saw a sea lion! Definitely recommend.

Fun evening - Great relaxing sail wothban experienced captain and minimal guests. It was fun and beautiful. We will definitely try this again and hopefully get another sunset. I like that we went to the point Loma side and not the usual downtown busy area.

Terrific, personable... - Terrific, personable captain. So, great experience with him. But 3 total sodas and some water for 4 people (we don’t drink alcohol). Bean bags provided so old and worn out that beans were leaking out (fixed with masking tape by captain). Very uncomfortable.
