Fantastic, must-do in San Diego! - My hubby and I did the combined two hour south harbour tour with the north harbour, with a short stop at the harbour in between to let on other passemgers doing just one part. The ship was very roomy with three floors and had plenty of seating. There was a snack/refreshments bar and the open top deck had tables and chairs as well as bench seating around the sides. The crew were very friendly and welcoming and the tour guide who was named Rafael was very knowlegeable and informative. We saw sooo much on this tour..beautiful scenery, great view of the San Diego skyline, sealions and lots of naval ships, helicopters etc. We had a great tme on this cruise and it was a highlight of our trip. I would definitely recommend it! 10/10 👍🏻😁

2 hour course if you have time - There are 1 hour and 2 hour courses. The one-hour course offers tours of either the north side of the bay, mainly around the air base, or the south side of the bay, where many warships anchor. If you have time for a two-hour course, this is the combination of the two. If you ride this, many other military ports, including Japan, start to feel rural.

Nice Harbor Cruise - We sort of did this 2 hour cruise at the last minute. We called and they had space for us, so off we went to catch the boat (yacht, I guess, not sure what you call them). We were greeted, got on and soon were off for a great time. We went on the tour that passes Coronado Bridge, the Naval Base, and we got to see some sea lions. It was super fun. The boat is spotless and the service was super nice. We learned about the waterway’s importance to the city by narration and we loved the views indoors or out. This is a small company called Flagship Cruises & Events. It is local, family-owned and is an operated yacht charter. They also offer gourmet dinner cruises, harbor tours (which is what we did), patriot jet boat thrill rides, private charters that I assume are some somewhat pricey, corporate events, and even weddings. They have whale watching excursions, but only December through April. Our trip was fun and very relaxing. It was not crowded and again the service was so great.

Pros and cons but a good time! - Very difficult parking… almost missed the cruise and very stressed out by the time we boarded 1 min prior to departure. Maybe we didn’t follow instructions. The ONLY place that is good to park for 3 hours is the lot to the south of the pier! $7.50. Ace nearby tried to charge $30! Liked Rusty’s narration and was pleasantly surprised with NO diesel exhaust smell! Staff was very nice. No pressure to walk right past the “ photo opportunity” $$ Snacks and drinks were super expensive. Ship was MUCH under capacity which was great for us as the best way to see everything is to be on the upper deck on the right side :). You are welcome ;) We have lived in SD for 40 years and still learned a lot. Do it was a good experience on a beautiful day on the bay.

Not handicap friendly. - Initially we were upset because my husband is handicapped and we sat downstairs. It was hit, we couldn’t hear the narration, and there was nothing available to eat or drink. Later he managed to get up the steps, and from there on the experience was great. Be aware that this is not an experience for anyone who cannot climb steps.

Overcrowded & Waste of the time - Just being honest, Not worth it at all, overcrowded and not enough seats for everyone on the cruise. Poor organizing the crowds, everyone had to wait for 50 minutes under the hot sun just to get on board because we had to wait for the previous group to get off the cruise. The cruise is also very old and full of sewer odor smell. A piece of giant wood trim even fell from the ceiling and hit a customer was sitting by the window. Not recommended and will not go on again.
