Setting Sail on the Yacht America

As a marine biologist with a passion for the ocean, I was thrilled to embark on a whale-watching adventure in San Diego aboard the magnificent Yacht America. The day was a gift from the sea itself, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze that promised a perfect outing. The Yacht America, a stunning replica of the World Cup-winning sailing schooner, was our vessel for the day, and it was as majestic as the creatures we hoped to encounter.

The crew, an all-women team led by a male captain and his charming chocolate lab, Marie, welcomed us aboard with warmth and enthusiasm.
