A Great Experience - Our tour to Tijuana, Mexico was an unforgettable experience, made truly exceptional by our guide, Carlos. From the moment we started the tour, Carlos’s passion for his city was clear. He didn’t just guide us from place to place—he brought Tijuana to life through stories, history, food, and culture.

A fun and educational introduction to the border - We had a very positive experience during our half day walking tour of downtown Tijuana and highly recommend it if you want to have an inside scoop into the life and workings of this storied border city. Our guide Tadeo Called was personable, fun, and was able to answer our myriad of questions to our satisfaction. He kept a protective eye on our party taking pride that amongst the hustle and bustle of his hometown he had never “lost” a group participant. He kept us contexted and oriented at all times and had great knowledge of local history, culture, food and architecture. The tour price included a delicious and authentic local lunch and a tequila sampling opportunity. The tour length of 4 hours was right and felt very safe for our purposes of an introduction to the Mexican border. Just one word of caution for the day tripper the border crossing can be very congested and we were very thankful to have had a US Customs issued Global Re-entry card which greatly expedited our return crossing by sending us to the front of a long and sweaty customs queue line. Have a go at this fun border experience!

Amazing - I highly suggest this tour. One person helps you cross the border. They then hand you over to a local that takes you around town. I had Tadeo Calles and he was amazing! We took a bus to downtown which was about 5 mins away. We then walked around learning history, eating tacos, and drinking tequila. The tacos were amazing. We got to do our own toppings. The tequila was just a tasting but it was about 8 flavors. You then were offered the chance to buy a litre or 4 small bottles. There was no pressure to buy. Tadeo was very knowledgeable. I got a great picture of the history of the city along with art and culture. I can’t wait to visit again. At the end you have a gap of time to go shopping. The store owners were vocal but again not overly pushy. When I did go in to see the stores each person was very kind. They tried to get you to buy stuff but they also accepted no fine. I do a ton of tours like this. They usually partner with some small shops to bring customers. Too often the stores are pushy and it’s very difficult to say no (like the time I paid 100$ for a pashmina in India because I truly felt kidnapped lol) these people had beautiful trinkets and when I said I could only fit small things in my suitcase they respected that and showed me small wood items and magents. If you have global entry bring your card with you. Do not rely on the app (grumble grumble) if you can go during the week aim for that as crossing is much quicker.

Tijuana in a day - Great way to explore Tijuana for the day. Don't freak out if they tell you to cross the border and meet on the other side. It's really easy and they'll be waiting after the metal turnstile. If you have Global Entry DONT FORGET YOUR CARD. They will not let you in without it and the lines back to the US were sooo long. If you don't have Global Entry just be prepared to wait if it's a busy day. You'll explore, have some samples, eat lunch, and have a little time on your own during your day. Tedeo took care of us all, from some being late and having luggage to deal with, to others having to leave the group earlier. He also took us directly to the customs line and then walked me to global entry entrance. So there is no confusion getting back. Great tour!

We initially booked a... - We initially booked a trip to Rosarito but it ended up being canceled. We found this trip last minute. This was both mine and my sister's first time in Tijuana. Umberto was a great guide. He taught us the city's history and took us to several places. The quesadillas we ate were delicious!
