Note 1000 - Super experience. The scenery is stunning, wild fisherman and we still got lucky to catch fish in the winter. My 9-year-old son loved

First Rate Operation - Martin runs a first class operation right from the get go. On planning the trip, he was extremely responsive and usually responded within the hour if not day on questions we had and what we wanted out of our trip. From the way he communicated, I knew he was running a tight operation.
We booked 2 separate overnight trips with his company, one on the Collon Cora and one on the Limay. Two totally different rivers and glad we had the chance to experience both. The arrangements were just as advertised. Prompt pick up, professional guides, all the details thought of.
The overnight trips were awesome. Rods and flies were included as well as expert guides and rowers for our boats. When we arrived at lunch, a table and chairs were quickly set up with delicious food and a bottle of Malbec with each lunch. When we arrived at camp each night, our tents with cots and sleeping bags were already set up, which allowed us time to relax. Food was incredible. We had french fries for dinner one night to accompany our steak!.
We fished in March and mainly using streamers. The Collon Cora was beautiful and had plenty of aggressive trout to catch. Over the three days, we must have covered almost 30 miles of river. The Limay river was absolutely gorgeous. We floated through the amphitheater section and with the changing leaves, the scenery was breathtaking with gin clear water. The fishing was slower, but we caught several fish of a lifetime for our family.
We don't usually return to a location just because there are so many other places to see, but we are seriously considering returning to Bariloche to fish with Martin and his crew again a following year. I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again. Well done to you and your crew, Martin.

Gastronomic Picnics / Fantastic Fly Fishing - yes, please!! - I would have to say, my days fly fishing with Pedro was one of my favorite guided fishing experiences ever! The combination of hospitality and warmth, beautiful scenery, local knowledge of the area and gorgeous fish while breaking for a gastronomic picnic was truly first class! Pedro and Martin have an absolute passion for fly fishing and food and created a streamside dining experience with hammock set up after lunch — absolute heaven. The local knowledge that Pedro shared, the genuine laughs and all the fish that we landed… I will never forget. I can’t imagine how my day could have been better and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Had one do the best trips and these guys are true professionals !

It just keeps getting better - This is our 7th year fishing with Outfitters Patagonia and I think our 3rd year having German as our guide for the 3 days.
Between Martin and German the 3 days always are organized and executed to perfection.
German was always punctual, the car was always well maintained and the fishing gear provided was of a high quality, he gave the right amount of advise and encouragement. He is also a marvelous cook, lunches were first rate, how many guides lay a table with a tablecloth etc before starting to prepare a superb lunch.
My wife really enjoyed the encouragement that she received from German and this year caught more trout than the previous 6 years. Her casting is improving, especially given that we fish very little for the rest of the year.
Nobody can guarantee that you catch but German puts 110% effort to get you to spots were you have the best possible chance.
I suppose bottom line my absolute confidence in Martin and German is shown by the fact that next year is already booked.
Thank you Martin and German for organising a perfect 3 days of fly fishing.
Till next year.

These are the Outfitters to make you realize your Bucket-list Patagonia fly fishing dream - My wife and I love to fly fish, but the concept of gong all the way to Patagonia was a bit daunting. Thanks to Martin, everything was perfect! He was there with immediate answers to all my pre-trip questions, and took care of every detail of the logistics. We fished 4 fantastic days with guide Juan, and he was the best.
Fishing in Patagonia is a dream-come-true. Amazing fishing, breath-taking scenery, and gourmet stream-side lunches (yes you do have grilled steak and Malbec wine on a well-set table) only add to friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced service provided by the guides.
The bonus is you also get to stay in a hotel of your choice in beautiful Bariloche and have your pick of gourmet restaurants and the beautiful lakes and mountains.
We 100% recommend Outfitters Patagonia, and can't wait to return!!

A Wonderful Multi-Day Fishing Experience - Flying down from the States, we were lucky enough to spend six days fishing with Outfitters Patagonia.
Starting nearly a year out, the planning and communication from owner Martin was fantastic. Half-day, full-day and overnight trips were offered and each possible type of trip and body of water was explained in detail, allowing us to select what we wanted to do.
We chose to do a three-day overnight trip and three day-trips to different rivers and lakes. Martin coordinated our pickup from the airport and assisted us with hotel options while staying in Bariloche. After exploring town for two days, we were picked up at 8am by our guide, Juan, in front of the hotel.
We spent the next three days and two nights on the Collon Cura river, two hours north of Bariloche. The camp crew (Renzo and Gus) went out of their way to make each night camping wonderful. They made and brought drinks, made hot breakfast and dinner, and truly acted like part of the group, on top of rowing downstream ahead of us to setup the next camp. Breakfast was at 8am each morning and dinner was around 8pm. Each pair of fishermen share a very large six-person tent with cots and blow-up sleeping pads, small pillow included.
While on the water, Juan was fantastic. We threw streamers and dry flies the entire week. We hooked into a large amount of fish with a great average size (including some monsters) each day. Juan prepared lunch and snacks around 1pm each day, a meal that would put guides in the United States to shame. Meals ranged from charcuterie and sandwiches to steaks and chicken. The food was very memorable. On top of the great fishing guide work, Juan was an excellent tour guide on the drives to each location. As anyone who has fished on guided trips before, the trip is made depending on the ability of the guide…Juan is something special.
Between the communication, great meals, fun camping, amazing day trips to stunning landscapes, and great people, I would not hesitate to fly the long way to fish with Outdoors Patagonia again.

Top quality Guiding with Outfitters Patagonia - This was my fourth trip with Outfitters Patagonia and again it was a great success. I arrived with high expectations, having had three previous trips with excellent guiding, good hospitality and amazing fishing. When I say amazing fishing, I mean that on each of these trips (typically 5 days each trip) I took between 50 and 85 (maximum) trout, with a mixture of rainbows (mostly) and browns. My biggest fish have come from the Limay river, up to 6 &1/2 pounds with a few more in the 4 to 6 pound range, the most prolific fishing has been on the Manso river (typically smaller fish but very strong fish). Having fished a lot in various counties i know that the guide and the outfitter company make up at least half of your success and I have no hesitation in recommending Outfitters Patagonia. Their back office admin is very efficient, the kit supplied is always top quality (Orvis) and the guides work hard for you, never hesitating to change a fly if things ho quiet and rowing almost all day against the fast current in these two rivers.
What a great experience; i give them 10/10!

Great day on Rio Limay - Top notch guide service in San Carlos de Bariloche. Everything was incredible. Martin the owner was great. Excellent communication and very easy to work with. We did a full day float trip on Rio Limay and it did not disappoint. Our guide, Renzo, worked his butt off rowing in high water to put us on fish. I have been guiding in the United States for 10+ years and would recommend their services to anyone! Muchas gracias!

Fishing and friends for life in Argentina! - These guys are the best!!! Just came off a two night camp-fish trip in the Caleufu which is an experience of a lifetime. The scenery, the fishing and people are amazing. These guides take care of your every every need. They are so service oriented, want nothing other than for you to have a great experience short of putting a giant trout on your hook (that’s illegal - LOL). We learned about the region, the people, how to improve our fishing and build bonds with others. I cannot give a higher endorsement to Martin and German for their efforts to give us a 5 star experience!!
