Awesome day tour with an excellent guide - We booked this tour to ensure a smooth transition from our cruise to Valparaiso and Santiago. Christian, of Best Trip, who had been in constant touch with us, was waiting for us at the gate. Despite the chaos of multiple arrivals, he sorted us onto the mini bus. The trip was beautiful: Vina Del Mar, the unforgettable Valparaiso, the winery at Casablanca, and then the journey to Santiago. Christian was a wonderful guide, full of historical and cultural information, able to answer questions and mindful of our group.. He was particularly helpful and genuinely concerned about our choice of hotel, which was in an unsafe area.. we ended up changing hotels when we saw its location.. I highly recommend this tour as an introduction to Chilean life..

Full Day Tour - Communication prior, during and after the tour was excellent - via Whatsapp. Pick up was outside of main cruise terminal exit - organised chaos but it works well considering the large number of guests exiting. Lovely guides - english excellent. We fitted a lot of things into this tour and it is a long day however comfortable minibuses used and comfort stops so no problem. Would have no hesitation using them again or recommending them.

Port Antonio chaos - The tour people do not have a field on the app to identify what hotel you are to be dropped off once in Santiago. Consequently there is no way to group guests by hotel location. Thus the drivers goes all over the city, for each van, dropping guests off which is ridiculous. Will you fix this logistics issue? It would be easy. Mass chaos ensued. The tour itself was eventually well done. Nacho?(not sure of spelling) was our guide and he did a fine job. It was good value overall.

Great tour, bad planning. - Logistics: The tour started after a cruise, we were rushed into a van with our luggage being placed in a trailer behind it. Although it was later than the tour advertised time, due to disembarkation of the cruise, the operator should be used to that and use this time to better plan the hotel run at the end of the day. Luggage should be loaded according to the hotel order so that when we get there, they don't have to climb over pieces of luggage and having them rolling out of the trailer. Would have made that part of it more pleasant for everyone. I put emphasis on this as being dropped at our hotel was a big part of the decision to book this tour. The tour: Ignacio our guide, was very knowledgeable about his country and interesting to listen to. His passion for the history was showing while he was giving us the tour. On a constructive side, the pace should've been slowed down to accommodate the older members of our group who were slower but yet had paid for the tour and should have been able to benefit from his explanations. This was also a safety issue especially given the fact that Valparaiso is known for pick pockets, he specifically warned us about it, so you want to keep your group tight and together.

Really read the description, and read into it - The description did not state that it was primarily a walking tour, up and down many hilly roads and steps, basically in very old, run down neighborhoods. Really nothing of significance to see or experience. Our guide, Antonio was great as far as passion and enthusiasm, but honestly there were times I felt like I was in the ghetto. We had a wine tasting stop that was a disaster. Very crowded, unorganized, no where to really sit and enjoy. A complete bust. The only redeeming thing about this experience was that it got us from the cruise port to our hotel in Santiago for probably the same price that a taxi would.
