- Blue Star Arts Complex - As the location of San Antonio’s longest-running contemporary art space, the complex offers a diverse array of arts venues, shops, and studios, providing plenty of opportunities to satisfy your hunger and thirst.
- King William Historic District - Established by affluent German merchants in the late 1800s, San Antonio’s first suburb features 25 blocks of historic mansions surrounded by beautiful landscaping.
- Mission San Jose - Founded in 1720, this mission was named after Saint Joseph and the Marqués de San Miguel de Aguayo, the governor of the Province of Coahuila and Texas at the time. It was constructed on the banks of the San Antonio River, a few miles south of the earlier mission, Mission San Antonio de Valero (the Alamo). Its founder was the renowned Father Antonio Margil de Jesus, a prominent Franciscan missionary in early Texas. Mission San Jose remains an active parish, and visitors are welcome to attend mass on Sundays.
