- Ancient City (Mueang Boran) - Known as the world’s largest outdoor museum, Ancient City is located near the Crocodile Farm in Samut Prakan Province. This expansive 320-hectare “city” showcases 116 structures representing Thailand’s renowned monuments and architectural marvels. The layout of Ancient Siam mirrors the shape of the kingdom, with monuments positioned in their geographically accurate locations. Some buildings are full-scale replicas of existing or historical sites, while others are scaled down or creatively designed, not replicating any specific historical structure.
The replicas were crafted with guidance from experts at the National Museum to ensure historical precision. Noteworthy structures include the former Grand Palace of Ayutthaya (destroyed during the Burmese invasion of 1767), Phimai Sanctuary in Nakhon Ratchasima, and Wat Khao Phra Viharn on the Cambodian border.
- Erawan Museum - Situated in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand, the Erawan Museum is renowned for its impressive three-headed elephant art display. Inside the elephant’s three levels are antiquities and invaluable collections of ancient religious artifacts belonging to Lek Viriyapant, the museum’s owner and the visionary behind the Ancient Siam and Sanctuary of Truth museums, which also house artifacts and heritage items.
The museum features significant model sculptures that highlight various aspects of Thai culture.
The museum is conveniently accessible via the Chang Erawan BTS station on the Sukhumvit Line.
