- Mirabell Garden may be partially closed in winter time.
- Guided tours inside the churches during masses and scheduled events are limited. If entry is not possible, the guide will provide all information outside
- Free entry to the courtyard of St. Peter’s Abbey excludes the abbey, church, cemetery and catacombs. Due to the abbey’s rules, you can visit the church and cemetery only on your own, without a guide. Entry to catacombs costs 2 euro per person.
- The regular tickets to Salzburg Cathedral will be purchased on the spot. The Cathedral is usually open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm, but this will vary because the church often organizes concerts and other events.
- Skip-the-line tickets to Fortress Hohensalzburg provide faster entry without queuing at the ticket office. This all-inclusive ticket includes access to all areas of the castle complex and a round-trip funicular ride. There may be a short line to ride a funicular.
- Pickup service is available for accommodations / hotels in Salzburg Old Town. Please provide your full address when booking. The itinerary will be adjusted accordingly.
- If you do not provide your address or your accommodation is more than 1,5 km away from the designated meeting point, the guide will meet you in front of the Marktfrauen-Brunnen (next to St. Andrew Parish Church), Hubert-Sattler-Gasse, 5020 Salzburg, Austria.
- For the comfort of all guests, it is best to have 1 licensed guide per maximum of 25 guests. If there are 26-50 people in your group, we will provide the service of 2 licensed guides so that all guests can get the best experience, ask questions and hear the guide well.

The perfect introduction to Salzburg. - Maroine was outstanding. We began our time in Salzburg with his tour, and it was the perfect introduction to the city. He thoughtfully showed us all the key sights, explaining not just what we were seeing, but the history and stories behind each place.
As non-German speakers, we were a bit intimidated by the language barrier at first, but Maroine immediately put us at ease. He was patient, welcoming, and generous with his knowledge—offering excellent recommendations and graciously answering all of our questions.
By the end of the tour, we didn’t just feel informed—we felt confident. We walked away with a true understanding of Salzburg, a curated list of places we were excited to explore (and even revisit), and the comfort to navigate the city on our own. It was the ideal way to begin our stay.

Our guide Maroine was... - Our guide Maroine was wonderful. He was knowledgable and we had a nice pace around town. He personalized the tour for our needs. He gave us a lot of suggestions that we were able to act on during the rest of our stay.

You Should Join Maroine! - Maroine was a fantastic guide! He was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of Salzburg. I asked many questions and he always knew the answer! He also took pictures of my partner and I at different locations which was very kind of him. I highly recommend Maroine as a tour guide!

Salzburg highlights - We only had a limited time in Salzburg and this was the best way to make use of our time. Our guide took us off the typical tourist path and we learned things about the city that we would have just walked by without notice if we did not have our informed guide. He focused on things that were of interest to us. Very well done!

Nice tour of salzburg - We had a nice walking tour. With husband and two sons 24 and 26. The guide - Maroine- we very knowledgeable. My error was I should have said we were most interested in history. History of the old town as opposed to the sound of music and the art and theatre. We spent a lot of time before getting to the old town and by the time we arrived there - one of my boys was very cold. He had the wrong shoes. The guide stopped for us to buy wool socks but he was already miserable. We visited the church but then we cut the tour short because my son and husband wanted to go back to our hotel to get appropriate footwear. It was 19 and standing outside not walking was just super cold. We stopped about 20 minutes early and so did not see most of the old town stops, which is our fault for not being prepared. I got the impression most groups want to see the sound of music locations and I am the only one of my family that has seen the movie. Overall it gave us some interesting facts about the city.

A Good Overview - The directions to the meeting place were very poor. The address didn’t correspond to anything. It was totally unclear where we were supposed to wait. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Austrian history which was interesting. He pointed out places from the Sound of Music. He also gave us a good recommendation for lunch. We had hoped for a more personalized experience. Our guide in a similar tour in Munich was much more comprehensive.

Mediocre tour - Our tour guide arrived not sure what was included. He repeated things. Didn't have engaging stories and had strong opinions about a lot of topics unrelated to the tour. It seemed like he was just dragging it out to fill the four hours and we were glad to part ways with him. Will not book through this site again.
