A stop near St. Gilgen will allow guests to enjoy the panoramic view of St. Wolfgangsee, a renowned location where the movie “The Sound of Music” begins. Additionally, guests will see the mountain with the train ascending.
- St. Wolfgang - Enjoy a drive along the longest and most beautiful lake in the Salzkammergut region.
- Hallstatt - Guests will have 1.5 to 2 hours to explore Hallstatt’s old town independently. Key spots to visit will be highlighted.
- Hallstatt Skywalk - CLOSED FROM 1.9.2025 due to construction works! Alternative cable car options will be available from 01.09.2025.
OPTIONAL: During the excursion, guests can take a lift to the Sky Walk for a breathtaking view of Hallstatt and the Dachstein Mountains from above. The lift requires an additional fee, payable on-site.
- Hallstätter See - Guests can view the entire lake and have the option to rent a boat to enjoy Hallstatt from the water. (Boat rental is not included in the price).
- Hallstatt-Dachstein - Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape - On the return journey to Salzburg, guests will experience the charming Austrian farm life and the majestic Dachstein Mountain range.
- Gosau - Optional: On the way back, there will be a stop for photo opportunities near the stunning Lake Gosausee, offering views of a quaint village beneath the Dachstein Mountains.

Tour of Hallstatt and surrounding areas. - It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Not only was Hallstatt a beautiful place to visit, but Anna was a wonderful tour guide, and a pleasure to spend the day with. We enjoyed her company immensly. She made sure to tailor the trip to our needs, and continued being flexible even on the day of the tour in order to do so. Not only did we love Hallstatt, but the hike around the lake was beautiful, and the lunch was wonderful, with such beautiful views!
Hopefully, we will be able to use her services again in the future, as we do hope to visit Hallstatt in the winter at some point. If so, we would not hesitate to reach out to her again for a tour. Highly recommended!!!

Stunning and fun day - Anna, our tour guide was amazing. On time, very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to talk to, great energy. We had an amazing time, stunning views, fun memories, and lots of beautiful places we visited. Highly recommend.

Hallstat Private Tour - We had the most wonderful day trip to Hallstatt with Anna. She is very knowledgeable about the area and showed us so many great places along the way. We even had a chance to stop and have lunch in a lovely place while viewing the last glacier in Austria. Our tour was May 16 and the weather was perfect. No jacket needed. We also had a lovely private boat ride on the lake in a traditional wooden boat. Anna arranged this for us too. She’s an awesome tour guide!

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour - We went to this tour on January 2025 during the low season and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip arranged by Anna. She picked us up from our hotel on time and she really took care of our needs. She was very friendly and my family really appreciate her company. Our criteria to enjoy the trip are always worry / trouble free tour, accommodating to our pace and request, no surprises, no shopping trip, very friendly, can explain the culture and history to us and most importantly able to recommend good food and restaurant to us. Anna was able to provide us all of these, therefore we would highly recommend anyone who are planning a trip to Austria to look for her to arrange for your tour as you would then be able to really enjoy your holiday

Just Book it! - We had the best day visiting Hallstatt with the help of Ana! She communicated with us leading up to our day so that we could plan/customize to make the most of it based on our preferences. We really enjoyed the convenience of being picked up and dropped back off at our hotel in Salzburg. More than that, we enjoyed her insights and history during the drive and in the town itself. On the way back we stopped at a great restaurant on a charming lake with local fare and had one of our favorite meals and a beer. She was full of the best suggestions and made the trip more memorable than it would have been without her!

Private Tour is the way to go! - Thank you Anna for a wonderful tour of Hallstatt and surrounding areas. If you want to stop and see the local sites and learn about the history of the area from a local guide, this tour is the way to go. We learned so much about the historical significance of the drive + scheduled and unscheduled stops as well as what life is like in Austria. None of which you can really get from a bus tour. I HIGHLY recommend Anna's tour.

A brilliant day in Hallstatt - What a brilliant day we had with Anna. Pick-up was perfect right outside our accommodation and the scenic drive to Hallstatt was wonderful with a few stops along the way. Anna had great stories and information about all the places we stopped and the walking tour through Hallstatt was very informative and entertaining. We stopped for lunch in a lovely restaurant and on the return journey stopped at the stunning glacier lake. We enjoyed the day very much and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Anna again.
