Best Way to See Salzburg — Private Tour Worth Every Penny - What an incredible day with my friends! Our private car tour through Salzburg and the surrounding Austrian countryside was an absolute highlight of our trip. Our guide's knowledge was exceptional — seamlessly weaving together the magic of Sound of Music filming locations, the sobering history of World War 2 sites, and some of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen. Having a private car made all the difference. We could linger where we wanted, ask questions freely, and really absorb each location rather than rushing with a crowd. The contrast between the joyful Sound of Music spots and the weight of the WW2 history made for a surprisingly moving and well-rounded experience. The scenery alone would have been worth it — rolling green hills, Alpine backdrops, and gorgeous views of Salzburg that we'll never forget. But combined with a knowledgeable, passionate guide and great company, this tour became one of those travel memories you talk about for years. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Salzburg. Don't hesitate — just book it!
