This amazing journey begins by strolling through the streets of Rio Vermelho, Salvador’s bohemian district, where the traditional Festa de Iemanjá is celebrated annually. Visitors will explore the fishermen’s colony and the Casa de Iemanjá to gain insight into Afro-Brazilian traditions, which beautifully illustrate Bahia’s religious syncretism.

Next, it’s time to head to the Market, filled with vibrant colors and intense aromas. Guests will wander through the alleys and sample cachaças (the spicy, sweet, and fruity liquor distilled from fermented sugar cane). There are plenty of leaves used in Candomblé for traditional energy cleansing.
