10/10 do it - 100% just do it. Our guide Rye, super knowledgeable, never felt in danger with him. He made the trip fun and exciting. Bringing the wife next year and will request him. We did numbers full day. 10/10 trip

Family rafting. - This was a great trip, started on Browns and finished on the Numbers! Water a little low, but that just made it exciting to try and avoid rocks! Hannah was our Browns guide and keep us entertained with her jokes and knowledge of the River. Rye was our Numbers guide and did a fantastic job of explaining what was coming and what we needed to do. We enjoyed this trip very much!

Outstanding experience on The Numbers rafting trip - Outstanding excursion. We did The Numbers rafting trip with Spencer as our guide and had a total blast. The river was a little low but still had plenty of current to make the class 4 and 5 rapids so much fun. Spencer did an outstanding job giving the group of 5 in raft what to do and how to deal with any situations when we got into rough waters. We have done white water trips throughout the US and Costa Rica, and the Arkansas River here is our favorite. Highly recommend taking advantage of the free wet suits offered by American Adventure. You will get wet no matter where you are seated in the raft, and the water even in July is a bit cool. We will for sure be doing this rafting trip again on our next visit here. FYI, as a side note, Spencer also recommended we drive to the small town of Salina, about 25 miles south, and eat at The Boathouse restaurant which is right on the Arkansas River too. That was a blast. Salina is a page from the past town. Big downtown that looks like you are stepping back into time. Boathouse has excellent food at a great price and we were able to sit on the patio watching all of the swimmers, tubers and rafters float by us on the river. Well worth the half hour drive to get to.

Great Guide / Fantastic Trip! - This is the perfect trip for family and friends who want to start slowly and then build to bigger whitewater. The morning portion of the trip, Browns Canyon, is a nice gentle start for people who’ve never paddled a raft before and provides the opportunity for everyone to get adjusted to the water and to paddling.
Ripples & rapids are class I - III.
After a nice rest and lunch back at the main office, you move on to The Numbers section of the Arkansas river. Here, the water is bigger & is rated class IV & V. Important to follow your Guide’s instructions quickly and to remain alert. This section of the river is extremely exciting as you’re paddling quickly (sometimes backwards) and directing the raft in many different directions depending on your guide’s instructions in various rapids. TON OF FUN!!!
Our guide, Craig was superb, professional & hilarious. Always calm & advising us on what was coming next. He let us get in the water in a calm section of Brown’s Canyon & then quickly helped us back in the raft before we moved into “not suitable for swimming” sections 😂
Great guy who clearly loves people and was always checking on how we were doing. A real asset to AAE!
Would def do a repeat trip if we return to Buena Vista “metro area”!!!!!

Fun full-day with AAE - My husband and I had a fun day with AAE! Justin was our guide for the day and throughout our time we felt safe and well-informed thanks to him and the other staff. We have been rafting a handful of times in Class I-III rapids but this was our first time doing anything more advanced. There is definitely a difference in terms of "adrenaline" between the Browns and the Numbers but it still felt very manageable/fun for the both of us! We appreciated having the Browns section in the morning as a little warm up before the more adrenaline-filled Numbers.

Awesome experience! - Absolutely loved this experience! I recommend doing the full day, it was perfect ! Our guide Craig was totally awesome! Super impressed with his ability to have fun but still stay calm and guide our group.
