A local introduction to a little known location that is actually a gem - We had a a wonderful day on September 9th with Osvaldo. He gave us a private, authentic tour by car of the historical sites of Salerno, including entry to the Norman castle that overlooks the city. His explanation of the Us military activities in the area during WW2 was very interesting, an aspect we hadn't thought about for the area. We also visited St Matthews Cathedral in the city and this has to be seen to be appreciated. The floors and inlaid marble in the crypt are awe inspiring. The highlight of the tour was a visit to a fig growers home on a hill overlooking a village on the Amalfi coast where we were served coffee with lemon and fig and almond ice cream over wine marinated figs. So delicious and the view is spectacular. We thoroughly recommend this tour if you want a local experience. Sandra and Rob, Australia

The very best panoramas with Osvaldo - I would highly recommend this tour of Castello di Arechi and Vietri Sul Mare. Our guide Osvaldo was passionate, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The views were spectacular and we had many great photo opportunities. Osvaldo even had a few surprise stops for us which made the day even more special. The tour was about 3 hours in an air conditioned vehicle and we were picked up and dropped off at our door in Salerno.

Book now, you won't be disappointed.. - We booked a tour for 2 and didn't know what expect. Trips to the highest lookouts, ending with a gelato was the perfect ending.

Wonderful tour with kids! - We loved our tour! With little kids (4&6) we wanted something where they didn’t have to do too much walking and where we could adjust the schedule for their interest and needs. This fit the bill perfectly! Our guide was wonderful! He was so knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and was great with the kids! He took lots of pictures and videos for us as well! The views were incredible! And stopping at GG’s for homemade figs and gelato was just perfect too! If you are considering this tour, definitely do it!

FUN excursion! - Osvaldo our driver took us to some of his favorite secret spots in Salerno. Many of which had the BEST views of Amalfi Coast. We stopped for some limoncello and espresso afterwards. Great trip!

Absolutely wonderful tour! You don’t want to miss this! - We absolutely loved this tour! Osvaldo was wonderful. He picked us up on time and at the prearranged spot. His English was pretty good (especially since most people in Salerno don’t speak much English). He was engaging and didn’t rush us on the tour at all. We loved the amazing views from different points in the city. We especially loved meeting a wonderful local and trying some handmade sweets. Osvaldo engaged us in conversation where we learned some Italian words and learned more about local Italian culture. This has been our favorite activity so far in Italy! We also loved the recommendations from Osvaldo. 10/10 recommend this tour!

Disappointed - It was a disappointing tour. Our guide was lovely but information on Salerno and the locations was minimal. Instead of an air-conditioned comfortable vehicle, we were taken in our guides car, a small fiat shared with another 2 people. The only site that was worthwhile was the castle which had stunning views and there was no alcohol provided but some home made gelato and a bottle of water.
