Los Nevados National Park - The journey begins at 5:30 a.m. at the office, followed by breakfast. Afterward, participants will travel by car to the Cocora Valley. The hike, led by a bilingual guide accredited by Los Nevados National Park, covers 11 km and concludes at a traditional farm where the night will be spent at an elevation of 3,550 meters.
Trek through the Páramo Ecosystem in the National Park
Trekking Nevado Del Tolima - After a delightful breakfast, the trek continues to the páramo ecosystem, reaching 4,000 meters, and arriving at a second traditional farm situated at 3,600 meters.
Climb to the Nevado del Tolima Summit
Trekking Nevado Del Tolima - The ascent begins at 1:00 a.m. from the farm, covering 8 km, under the guidance of an experienced certified guide. After 7 hours, the summit of the volcano is reached, offering a breathtaking sunrise view from 5,220 meters above sea level at the majestic Nevado del Tolima.
The group returns to the base camp for breakfast and then heads back to the traditional farm for a well-earned rest. Accommodation is provided at the base camp facility.
Journey Back to the Cocora Valley - Salento
Valle del Cocora - The return to Cocora follows a different route than the ascent. Lunch is enjoyed in the Cocora Valley amidst the stunning wax palms, and the adventure concludes with a well-deserved lunch in Salento.
