Engage in hands-on activities like planting seedlings and picking cherries, then watch the drying, roasting, and occasionally grinding of the beans, much of which is still done manually.
Participate in a guided tasting session where local baristas will demonstrate how to recognize the characteristics of premium Colombian coffee while addressing any inquiries.
- Salento - Following an unforgettable coffee experience, the group will return to Salento’s central square, marking the end of the tour.

Participants will visit a traditional coffee farm and engage in the complete coffee-making process. From planting seedlings and harvesting ripe coffee cherries to enjoying a freshly brewed cup, this brief yet immersive experience will deepen your appreciation for the journey behind each cup of coffee.
For those interested, a Cocora Valley experience can be added.
- Meeting point is Salento’s main square—please be on time
- Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes
- Bring sunscreen and a reusable water bottle
- This is a shared tour, great for meeting fellow travelers
- A minimum of 2 people is required for the tour to operate. If only one person books and the minimum is not met, the customer will be offered either a change of date or a 100% refund.

Coffee making from bean to cup - Valentina was superb, explaining the whole coffee making process in a fun, informative and interactive way. Definitely recommend.

Coffee tour par excellence! - This is a family run small farm, beautiful scenery, really learned about the whole process from bean to coffee in the cup. Our guide Nico was very knowledgable, helpful and attentive, as well as learning about the process you get to go into the ‘fields’, and pick the bean, we were given a tasty plantain snack and we drank the coffee we roasted and ground. Fully recommend this tour, we were a small group of 4, so the tour felt very personalised.

One of the best coffe experience ! - Stiven the guide for our coffee tour was amazing ! We learned so much about coffee and Colombia in general. Time was flying ! We get a coffee, then we get a little bit of history about coffee and Colombia and then we had the chance to pick up our coffee bean from the tree and after that view all the step to make a coffee from selecting the best bean to drying it, and then roast it… 200% and finally drink it ! I recommande it for friend couple or family or even solo !

Beautiful coffee farm - We had a great trip to the coffee farm! Friendly people and great information!! Getting to ride in the jeep was fun too! It was definitely worth the price. Tour was from 1:30-4:30

Christmas Time Family Activity - My family and I went on this tour during our Christmas/end of the year vacation in the area. We are a mixed group of Colombians, Americans, and Brits, with varying levels of Spanish and English. Our guides were punctual, informative, and upbeat. We enjoyed learning about what makes Colombian coffee distinct and spending the day outside in the beautiful setting of the farm. The jeep ride was fun and the snacks we were offered were delicious. This is a great way to spend the afternoon in Salento, with time for shopping and food before and after.

Unique, wonderful, and definitely one of the best tours. - This tour was absolutely fantastic, I would book it again in a heartbeat. Juan is a truly wonderful tour guide; he knows so much about the nature of Cocora Valley. He also shows you the different birds and flowers. Plus, he can give you great tips for your trip around Colombia. The Luger coffee tour was also very interesting; the staff there explained the entire coffee production process very well and showed us the coffee farm and how the coffee is made. Thank you so much for the unforgettable day!

Salenton Coffee Farm Tour - The tour was meticulously organised and provided us with a very unique insight into the coffee manufacturing process from bean to cup. We loved visiting Luger Coffee Farm and our guide Marlon shared his expertise with with and passion. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salento.
