The mosque is centrally located and named after His Majesty, the former Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said.

Visiting hours:

• 8am to 11am; after these hours, visits are limited to outside the prayer hall.

• Salalah Central Market - Established in 1979, Salalah Central Market marks a new era of commercial activity and marketing in the Dhofar governorate. It was essential to create a market that meets all the needs of Salalah town and its neighboring areas.
  In this market, visitors can find a variety of local crafts, jewelry, frankincense, incense (bukhoor), bells, Omani daggers (khanjar), and traditional clothing.
  A unique feature of this market is the availability of delicious outdoor meals, such as freshly grilled fish and seafood cuisine.

• Al-Husn Souq - Al Hafah Souq is located 3 kilometers from Salalah city in the Dhofar Governorate. Surrounded by tall coconut trees, it is the ideal place to purchase the finest gum and incense, not only in Dhofar but throughout the Sultanate.

Al Hafah Souq offers a wide range of products, including traditional textiles and clothing, gold and silver jewelry, and many other traditional artifacts.

• Al Balid Archaeological Site - Known as the most important ancient port on the Arabian Sea and part of the Frankincense Trail, its history dates back to before 2000 BC. Some archaeological research suggests the city’s prosperity began in the Iron Age. The site was first discovered in 1930.
  Currently, Al-Baleed is a combination of an open-air archaeological site and the Museum of Frankincense Lands. The museum features two themes with two galleries: one focuses on the historical and archaeological heritage of the Dhofar Governorate, and the other narrates the remarkable maritime history of Dhofar and Oman.
  In 2000, Al-Baleed City was registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
  Al-Baleed Fort: These monumental ruins are the remains of Al-Baleed Fort. They rise to a height of 13 meters, with three circular towers at the corners and several other semi-circular towers. The low ground in the middle of the fort is the remains of a large courtyard.

• الديوانية للحلوى العمانية, القوف - Make a brief stop to enjoy the famous Omani Sweet (Halwa) with Arabian Coffee, a traditional Arabian cultural experience.
  Omani halwa is a gelatinous and sticky sweet commonly served at weddings, birthdays, festivities, and during the holy month of Ramadan. The ingredients vary among halwa-makers, but the base typically includes water, sugar, ghee butter, and cornflour.
  Halwas can be flavored with rosewater, saffron, dried fruits, and nuts. Aromatic and extremely flavorful, Omani halwa is traditionally served with kahwa (coffee).

• Dahariz Beach - Khor End - Khor Dahariz (Beach Lagoon) is located at the eastern entrance of Salalah city, near the Dahariz coastline. It is one of the region’s promising wetlands and a major attraction for many beautiful migratory birds, such as the ibis, flamingo, ducks, grey heron, and white heron. Additionally, this charming lagoon supports many other indigenous species, including fish and crustaceans.

• Salalah City View - Drive 23 km from Salalah to the beautiful mountain of Itin, which overlooks Salalah city. Stop at the fascinating viewpoint of Itin restaurant balcony, enjoy a few minutes at this viewpoint, and then take a short walk to the cave. Accompanied by a guide, visitors will learn about the history and brief geological information about the cave formation and the beautiful surrounding plantations.
