The next destination is Thumrait village, where guests can enjoy traditional Omani tea, known as Karak. The third stop is the archaeological site of Ubar, a former hub for frankincense caravans. Following this, the tour proceeds to view the black camels. The final stop is the Rub’ al Khali desert, the largest sand desert in the world, renowned as the best location in southern Oman to witness the sunset. The tour is available in English or Italian.

Great experience! - We booked the excursion with private tour from Italy and Mohammed immediately contacted me for details. We were in 6 people and Mohammed arranged 2 4x4s. The hike went as planned and then we arrived at the sand desert which was an exciting sight for us. It's definitely worth the trip! Mohammed and the other driver were super nice and helpful. Mohammed also speaks Italian very well. I recommend the tour!

Very nice Tour with Ibrahim - We had an amazing desert trip with Ibrahim. He knew hidden spots far away from the usual tour guide routes, which made the experience truly special. He was friendly, attentive and showed genuine Omani hospitality throughout the entire day. A fantastic tour – highly recommended!

Unforgettable day in the desert with Mohammed – highly recommended! - Our trip with Mohammed to the "Empty Quarter" was a real highlight of our trip to Oman. Even the stopover at the camel farm was unique – we were able to marvel at the most beautiful dromedary, which will soon even take part in a beauty contest. The traditional tea along the way and the stop at a real Frankincense plantation have also made the insight into the culture perfect.
In the desert itself Mohammed inspired us with confident sandbashing – we felt safe at all times! At sunset he chose the best places and explained everything very clearly to us. The landscape, the light and these special moments will be remembered forever.
Many thanks to Mohammed for the fantastic organization, the lot of information and the warmth. 100% recommendation – we would do a tour with him again anytime!

An unforgettable trip to the desert! - The excursion was simply unforgettable – the start right at the hotel with the punctual pick-up by our local guide Mohammed was perfectly organised. Mohammed was incredibly friendly, accommodating and accompanied us with a lot of knowledge and exciting information. In addition to interesting facts about the individual stops, he also told us a lot about the culture, nature and people of Oman.
We felt in good hands throughout the tour. Highlights included the impressive Rocky Desert, the incense trees and of course the tall sand dunes. A very special experience were the black camels – we even got to see several camel babies and taste fresh camel milk!
This trip was simply magical and offers great experiences for young and old. A clear recommendation for those who want to experience the beauty and tranquility of the Omani desert. 🌴🐪✨

Good, but perhaps for the sites. - We had a really good time on this tour, but didnt get to see Ubar which I was looking forward to. We did get time on the dunes, which we enjoyed and I didnt realize that was already inlcuded; I thought it was a sub for the Ubar time.
