For those eager to experience “REAL” Sumo wrestling up close, this is one of the best opportunities available! Typically, the stables are based in Tokyo, but occasionally they hold practice sessions in Osaka throughout the year. Witness the wrestlers’ morning practice right beside the ring and immerse yourself in the intense and focused atmosphere. The sound of wrestlers clashing, their breathing, and the fragrance they wear are sensations that cannot be captured on video. *The practice area is outdoors. You will meet your knowledgeable tour guide at the station and enjoy a 20-minute walk to the stable. Your guide will provide insights into Sumo, its history, and its rules and regulations before entering the stable to watch the practice together. Experience this unique traditional sport, which also serves as a religious ritual originally created to entertain the Shinto deities. If fortunate, you may have the chance to take photos with the wrestlers after the practice!
