Normandy American Cemetery - 11:00 - 12:00 Arrival and visit to the Normandy American Cemetery & Visitor Center in Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach. It is the resting place of 9,387 U.S. soldiers, most of whom perished during the Normandy Landings, and features the Wall of the Missing with 1,557 names. The cliffs contain remnants of German defenses, including concrete casemates with memorials. Visitors can also see the semicircular memorial colonnade with the sculpture “Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves” and large military operation maps. The Visitor Center houses a small museum with extensive information about the Battle of Normandy. 12:00 Departure to the nearby Overlord Museum.

Overlord Museum - Omaha Beach - 12:10 - 12:50 Visit the Overlord Museum, located just a few hundred meters from the Normandy American Cemetery. This museum showcases numerous WWII artifacts and installations, including tanks, weapons, military vehicles, a V-1 missile, and personal belongings, providing a personal perspective on D-Day. 12:50 Departure to Omaha Beaches, a short 5-minute drive (5 km).

Omaha Beach - 13:00 - 14:00 Arrival at Omaha Beach Signal Monument. Learn about the significant sacrifice made by the 34,000 men who landed here on D-Day. Omaha Beach is the most popular destination among the D-Day Beaches. Time for a brief lunch break. 14:00 Departure to Pointe du Hoc, a 20-minute drive.

Pointe du Hoc - 14:20 - 15:00 Arrival at Pointe du Hoc, a prominent cliff between Utah and Omaha Beach. This strategic point was the highest land between the two beaches and could fire upon both. The site was a gun battery, fortified with concrete casemates and gun pits, forming part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall defenses. At Pointe du Hoc, learn about the 2nd Ranger Battalion’s sacrifice to capture this crucial gun battery on June 6, 1944. Many original fortifications and bunkers remain open to the public, including the fire control casemate, topped with a monument to the 2nd Ranger Battalion. 15:00 Departure to Utah Beach, a 40-minute drive (40 km).

Utah Beach - 15:40 - 16:00 Arrival at Utah Beach. Free time to explore. Utah Beach, adjacent to Omaha Beach, is the westernmost of the five Normandy D-Day Beaches, featuring numerous museums, memorials, and monuments. It was the first beach stormed by 23,000 American soldiers on June 6, 1944, to capture Cherbourg and its deep-water port. Casualties were relatively light, with 197 (including 60 missing). Units that landed include the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, VII Corps, 4th Infantry Division, 90th Infantry Division, 4th Cavalry Regiment, and 70th Tank Battalion.

Utah Beach Landing Museum - 16:00 - 16:40 Visit the Utah Beach Landing Museum, built atop a former German bunker. It features a large collection of historical artifacts, military vehicles, and the original B26 bomber—one of only six remaining.

16:40 Departure to Sainte-Mère-Église town and Airborne Museum, a 20-minute drive (13 km).

Airborne Museum - 17:00 - 18:00 Visit the Airborne Museum, a favorite among Normandy visitors, dedicated to the U.S. paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. The museum comprises five buildings, two resembling open parachutes. Inside, discover an impressive collection of WWII aircraft and experience the Normandy landings highlights via touchpad. The first WACO building is dedicated to gliders and features the only WACO glider replica in France. Join a dozen soldiers in the glider moments before takeoff. Over 500 gliders were deployed to transport about 4,400 soldiers, vehicles, ammunition, and equipment. The C-47 building houses the legendary C-47 aircraft, showcased in a spectacular scenography with deployed parachutes, suspended mannequins, and realistic statues. 18:00 Departure to Mont Saint-Michel, a 1.5-hour drive (130 km).

Memorial de Caen - 15:00 - 17:00 Visit the Caen Memorial and Museum, located in the British Sword Beach sector. The Caen Museum is France’s premier World War II museum, offering an overview of the Battle of Normandy and insights into the personal lives of those involved. An excellent 19-minute film documents the battle with original historic footage. 17:00 Departure to Paris, a 3-hour drive (240 km).
