Situated in the heart of Sainte-Mere-Eglise, just a few kilometers from Utah Beach and the landing beaches, the Airborne Museum stands opposite the bell tower where paratrooper John Steele was famously suspended on D-Day.

Since May 2024, with the opening of its 5th building, the Airborne Museum has become one of the largest D-Day museums in Normandy and Europe.

With its impressive museography, the Airborne Museum allows visitors to experience D-Day alongside the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. Explore an outstanding collection of historical artifacts, including an authentic glider and a C-47 aircraft that took part in the D-Day operations.
