Fab day out - Fantastic day out cycling through the vineyards of St Emilion. Our guide Bernadette was lovely - very knowledgable, interesting, friendly and good fun. Great chance to taste wine at 2 very different chateaus. Lunch very tasty. Sampled 13 wines & a lively glass of cremant to finish. Thank you 😊

Meet the Winemakers, Ride the Vineyards, Taste the Difference - Saint-Émilion, France - The Bordeaux Wine Pilgrim Tour (e-bike with lunch) was definitely the best excursion we took on our two weeks cruising around the Iberian Peninsula. Caz (the owner) and Victor (our guide) were amazing. Our group of two couples was looking for an excursion that would let us experience the wine country near Bordeaux up close and personal. This excursion exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Victor picked us up from the cruise port and drove us to Saint-Émilion, where we met Caz at the bike shop. Caz's e-bikes were easy to ride and had the power to get up all of the hills in the Saint-Émilion area. Victor led us safely through the countryside and gave us a good overview of how some of the wines are graded. The stops on this tour allowed us to learn firsthand how one local owner/producer of a small vineyard (Chateau la Rose Monturon) grows, harvests, blends, and bottles their wonderful wine. We shipped six bottles back to the States because the wine from this local grower/producer is amazing! The other stops on the tour included a larger grower/producer and a stop at a local Saint Émilion wine shop (Azimuts Vins). At the end of the day, Victor led us through Saint-Émilion and encouraged us to walk the steep path to the upper part of the town. The views made the walk well worth the effort. To top the day off, Victor introduced us to the original French macaron (Les Macarons de Saint-Émilion), and then drove us back to the cruise port. This tour is definitely worth the time and money if you want to experience the region, culture, and depth of wine production. Riding e-bikes through the countryside and talking to the local growers is an experience you can't get with the large tour groups.

Best day of my vacation - This experience was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Marian at reception was very welcoming, kind, and helpful, which made everything feel easy and well organized right away. Our tour guide, James, was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, funny, and made the whole experience feel special. He explained the history of Saint-Émilion, the vineyards, the wine-making process, and the châteaux in a way that was interesting and easy to understand. You can really tell he knows everything about the region and loves sharing it. The e-bike ride through the vineyards was beautiful, the château visits were fantastic, and the wine tastings were excellent. The picnic with local specialties was also a perfect touch. Everything felt authentic, relaxed, and very well planned. This was honestly the best day of my vacation. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Saint-Émilion or Bordeaux. 10/10 experience!
