• Betty’s Hope - Established around 1650, Betty’s Hope was Antigua’s first sugar plantation. Like many other West Indian sugar estates, it now lies in ruins. Governor Keynell founded Betty’s Hope, and after his passing in 1663, his widow inherited the estate. However, she had to leave Antigua during the French occupation in 1666.

Today, although the restoration project is ongoing, visitors can enjoy new and enhanced exhibits, explore a trail system to see the exposed ruins and local flora, relax on picnic benches, and benefit from interpretive signage and self-guided brochures that provide a comprehensive history of this monument.

• Devil’s Bridge - Devil’s Bridge is a natural rock arch located on the eastern coast of Antigua, near Indian Town Point, east of Willikies. The area around the arch features several natural blowholes that spray water powered by the Atlantic Ocean waves. This site is exposed to waves driven by the Trade Winds, with no land between it and Europe. In 2008, it was designated a National Park.
• Nelson’s Dockyard - In the early 18th century, the British Royal Navy recognized the strategic significance of English Harbour for protecting ships from hurricanes and monitoring French naval activity due to its southern position on the island.

Today, Nelson’s Dockyard offers numerous sites and activities for visitors to explore and enjoy.

• Shirley Heights - Named after former governor Sir Thomas Shirley, Shirley Heights offers a stunning bird’s-eye view of the island, overlooking English Harbour and Galleon Beach.
• Fig Tree Drive - This winding and steep countryside road takes you through the rainforest, abundant with foliage, plants, mangoes, pineapples, banana trees (locally referred to as “fig”), and more.
