This legendary port in the Basque Country continues to thrive with fishing as its primary industry. - La Corniche Basque - The journey follows the Basque cornice, a protected natural area situated between Hendaye and Ciboure. Currently, the hiking trail along this cliff is closed to the public due to its delicate nature. However, the opportunity to explore these Flysch cliffs from the sea is available.
- Hondarribia - The route then leads to Hondarribia, marking the beginning of the Spanish coastline. Hondarribia boasts one of the most significant fishing ports on the Basque coast. Further along, the bay of Los Frailes and the Amuitz islet can be discovered, where the water is often clear and tranquil.
- Jaizkibel - Jaizkibel provides breathtaking views of the ocean and the Basque coast. Visitors can marvel at the wild cliffs, natural heaths, and unique vistas, while enjoying a moment of reflection in the midst of untouched nature. It is also an ideal time for a swim!
- Baie de Loia - On the return journey, the boat will visit the bay of Loia, a hidden French gem accessible only by sea, overlooked by the castle of Abbadia. This castle was constructed between 1864 and 1870 by Antoine d’Abbadie, a French traveler and astronomer.
- Rochers des deux Jumeaux - Below the castle, the iconic 2 Jumeaux rocks can be admired. These two sentinels, standing guard over the open sea, have withstood the ocean’s relentless forces.
- Fort de Socoa - A brief detour will be made to the port of Socoa, dominated by its fort, a historical gem of the Basque country, rich with a fascinating history.
