The Best Customized Tour in Grenada - We had the greatest adventure with Donney. He is the perfect tour host, starting off by picking us up in an air conditioned van. He went over and above what we expected for the tour. We got to see and experience so much of this beautiful island. Donney is easy to work with and we were able to customize out trip to experience the activities that we wanted to do. He is also very knowledgeable about his country and so the information he gives is an added bonus. We highly recommend using Illustrious taxi and tour for your tours when you get to Grenada. Incredible Day with Donny on the Hawaiian Leis Tour - Our full-day Hawaiian Leis tour with Donny was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, Donny's passion for Grenada and its culture made the day extra special. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, checking in with us regularly to make sure we were having a great time. The tour was packed with fascinating stops, including the Chocolate Museum, where we learned all about the cocoa beans and the chocolate-making process. We even had the chance to sample some local chocolate – it was absolutely delicious! Another highlight was getting up close and personal with the local monkeys. They were so friendly, and we had a blast snapping pictures as they moved around. Donny also shared so much about Grenada’s rich history, from its colonial past to its vibrant culture today. His insights were engaging and brought the island’s story to life in a way we won’t forget. If you're looking for a tour that combines nature, history, and amazing local experiences, I can’t recommend this one enough. Donny truly made it a day to remember!

Awesome Tour in Grenada! - All five of us had an amazing time on Donny's tour of Grenada! You can tell he puts a lot of thought and care into planning the itinerary — every stop was interesting, and not once did we find ourselves wondering "why are we here?" My favorite stop was definitely the beautiful waterfall with the bar and restaurant overlooking it — such a cool spot where we had just enough time to grab a refreshing drink and enjoy the scenery. The other stops — rum tasting, visiting the chocolate factory, exploring the rainforest, and relaxing at the beach — were equally fantastic. Donny really goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has the tour experience they want. For example, at the end of the tour, only two of us wanted to stay at the beach, so Donny dropped the others off at the ship and then came back an hour later to pick us up — such incredible service! If you do the tour (and you definitely should!), I highly recommend stopping at the beach, grabbing a bite at Umbrellas restaurant, and taking a stroll along the gorgeous white sand. If you're visiting Grenada, you must book a tour with Donny Best — it will be a highlight of your trip!

A day to remember - Spent a fantastic day with Donny, he was a gem, friendly and considerate, nothing was too much trouble to make sure we had a day to remember. He was very knowledgeable, explaining about the island and what it's like to live there. The talk from the owner of the chocolate factory was very informative and the samples were delicious. Best part for me was watching and feeding the Mona monkeys. The Grand Etang Lake, Annandale waterfalls and the beach were all beautiful, what a way to spend the last day of our cruise.

Must use tour guide in Grenada - Our family had a great time with Donnie. He gave us a tour of the island and discussed the history of it! We had a great time visiting the waterfalls and the rum tasting. We got a great picture with a monkey. He is so nice and it was a wonderful day!

Excellent Tour & Guide - We had booked the half day Hawaiian Leis, Chocolate Waterfalls & Beach tour to collect us from the Port ( cruising on Arvia with P&O). Donney contacted us regularly before the trip and sent us a photo of himself with our names on a sign, showing where he was waiting for us. After alighting the mini-van, he realised there was a problem with the tyre valve and promised us it would be quickly dealt with. True to his word, he took us immediately to a reputable garage 2 mins drive away and the new valve was sorted in 10 mins. We felt reassured by this quick decisive action, that we were in safe hands and not a cowboy who was out to make a quick dollar. We were the only 2 guests that day, so my friend and I, had Donney's full attention. We were driven across the island with a running commentary on geography, history, local culture, population figures and were especially impressed with the lack of crime on the island. We even went past Donney's childhood village and said hello to his Father. Next, we were taken to the lake area to feed the "Lake Monsters" and hopefully see the monkeys. Unfortunately, it was raining at this point, and the monkeys refused to come out and get wet. We then drove up to a different area of the rain forest, where there ere stalls selling spices, clothing, gifts etc, but behind them we did see the monkeys and Donney had the foresight to bring banannas to attract their attention and they came down to take food from our hands.....amazing experience. Donney then took us to the chocolate factory where we were introduced to the owner. Again, we received a really interesting and knowledgeable tour, tasting the chocolate and seeing the various trees/plants that were growing on site. The smell as you walked into the shop is fantastic. We were then transported to the waterfalls and treated to local daredevils, jumping into the pool at the bottom. Breathtaking area of natural beauty. After this, Donney took us for a rum demonstration & tasting session. The strongest of these is local and fermented and will blow your socks off. During all this time, Donney was attentive and answered any questions we had. We felt that we were really getting a 5 star service and because we were the only guests that day and he had needed to fix the tyre first, he gave us more time than the half day we had booked. We negotiated further extra time with him and asked if he could take us to a good beach. He said this was no problem but decided to avoid the main touristy beach and took us to a quieter local beach which was idyllic. We had arranged for him to get us back to the port for 4pm and he was duly waiting for us, as promised. What a truly magical day around a beautiful island, made to feel so welcome by Donney and everyone he introduced us to that day. Donney was such a gentleman and couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend his tour and do hope to be back on another of his tours when I return in the future. Thankyou Donney for an unforgettable day.
