- Clarke’s Court Rum Distillery - Clarke’s Court Rum Distillery, operated by Grenada Distillers Limited, is a “must-visit” for all tourists. It is the island’s most renowned and largest distillery, as well as one of the most fascinating historical sites. The factory, operational since 1937, is located in the southern part of the island, in the Parish of St George.
Visitors will learn about the various processes and stages involved in crafting their exquisite rum. The tour covers the distillation process from sugar cane, syrup, and molasses to rum, as well as the aging, blending, and bottling processes. Guests will also have the chance to explore old steam engines, some dating back to 1886.
The factory tour lasts approximately 15-20 minutes, after which visitors are invited to sample their award-winning rums at the tasting bar. They will receive recipes for different ways to mix the rum and truly savor the taste of these fine products.
