The day began with a gentle breeze and the promise of adventure as my partner and I were picked up from our hotel. Our guide, Denzel, greeted us with a warm smile and a wealth of knowledge about the island. As we drove along the west coast of Grenada, the scenic views were nothing short of breathtaking. The lush greenery and the sparkling ocean seemed to dance in harmony, setting the perfect backdrop for our journey.

Our first stop was the Grand Etang National Park, where we were welcomed by Jumpa, a wild monkey with a penchant for bananas. The highlight of our adventure was undoubtedly the hike to the Seven Sisters Falls. The trail was challenging yet rewarding, with Denzel guiding us at our own pace. Along the way, we encountered a group of monkeys and learned about the diverse bird species that call this place home.

After our invigorating swim, we continued our exploration with a visit to the Annandale Falls. The cascading waters and the surrounding flora created a serene atmosphere, perfect for reflection and relaxation. We also had the chance to see the Concord Falls, one of the 18 waterfalls that grace Grenada’s landscape.

Denzel’s knowledge of the local flora was impressive, as he introduced us to the nutmeg tree and explained the various uses of its fruit. The hike back was a lesson in resilience, as we navigated the steep path with the help of stepping stones.

Our adventure concluded with a delicious vegetarian lunch, where we were introduced to the refreshing taste of breadfruit juice. It was the perfect end to a day filled with discovery and wonder.
