Excellent tour but the hike can be challenging for people with mobility issues. - The tour operator responded promptly to questions regarding the meeting area. Our tour guide was fantastic. I just wish I remembered her name as well as our driver who was very good around the winding roads to the falls. She was very informative and had lots of stories. It was a rainy day and the hike up the falls was muddy and slippery. There are no hand rails. Bring hiking sticks if you have them. Only one person from our group hiked all the way up. The hike up was more challenging the higher you went. We stopped probably around the first overlook platform. But it was enough to view the lovely falls. The scenery on the way there and back was beautiful.

AMAZING - It was truly a bucket list experience! It was an AMAZING adventure. One I was very thankful I went on. The trip to the bottom of the Falls was well worth the time and hike.

A great port adventure. - The ride to the falls from the port is gorgeous! The hike up the falls is divided into parts, first part very easy , second part a little harder, third part, can be a challenge, 4th part hard. It was rainy and muddy today, so I was not adventurous! The guide (Kate) was very informative and made the drive with ,fjord stories, Icelandic music, and meal suggestions for National treats. My husband just got pictures on the bottom and was welcomed back on the bus,

Amazing Waterfall - The tour bus is in the port, right as you get off the ship, very easy to find. Sally our tour guide was very personable. She shared many great facts and commentary about the region and country. Our bus driver, Dynja (spelling?)was also very friendly. Definitely need waterproof shoes and jackets for this tour.

NIce half day tour - This tour was a quick way to see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Beautiful scenery on the way and good commentary by the guide. Plenty of time to climb the side of the waterfall and have a restroom break. No food or drink available so bring your own.

Confining seats! - The scenery is spectacular and waterfall is definitely worth visiting. West Travel seems to be a main tour operation and had many many busses there. The commentary on the bus was good. The big negative was the bus itself. We were on one of the new busses (the taller ones). The seats are ok once you get in them, but your knees are touching the back of the seat in front of you. Think of the worst airline seat you have ever sat in and it is worse than that! We are only 5'5 and 5'9 so can't imagine how a tall or overweight person would fit. To make it worse, the guy in front of us reclined his seat back the entire trip. I wish I had taken a picture because it looked like he was laying in my husbands lap. And the guy didn't even lean back in his seat the entire timecas he was sitting up taking pictures. I would suggest that the guide ask people to keep their seats up on these busses. Talked to some other folks on a different bus and they said the seats were ok. We were just thankful that it was an hour each direction!

Long drive for average Waterfalls with no facilities. - The tour bus and guide were great, the information provided on the drive was very informative. The tunnels on the drive very interesting. The falls are in a National Park, busy with buses and NO facilities other than some clean washrooms. The Falls are fine, clouds rolling in ristricted the view and the suggested hike is treacherous. Too much time there unless you hike up but not much more to see. The path, trial is very rocky....and the mist makes it difficult. HIKING boots, walking sticks perhaps......if you must. Note ....take water and FOOD as there is nothing there But a large emergency services crew to rescue fallen tourists. No food services , gift shop nothing....a missed opportunity and could be done tastefully. It would pay for proper walkways in no time.
