Day 1 - Hurghada to Luxor
Temple of Karnak - In the early morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Soma Bay by a private air-conditioned car for an overnight trip to Luxor. Upon arrival, a private tour guide will accompany them to visit:
Karnak Temple: This site is the most impressive in Egypt, being the largest temple complex ever constructed by man. It represents the collective achievements of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples, all spread over 247 acres.
Luxor Temple - Luxor Temple: This temple was the center of the most significant festival, the Festival of Opet. Primarily built by Amenhotep III and Rameses II, the temple served as a venue for the festival’s rituals, which aimed to reconcile the human aspect of the ruler with the divine office.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luxor with a view of the Nile, followed by check-in at a 3-star hotel (with the option to upgrade).
Enjoy a sunset sailing trip on a Felucca.
In the evening, enjoy the Sound and Light Show at Karnak. The show begins with a historical introduction covering the birth of the great city of Thebes and the construction of the Karnak Temple. It narrates the glorious achievements of some great Pharaohs, accompanied by a magnificent and poetic description of the artistic treasures and great legacy enclosed within the Karnak temple. Overnight stay at a 5-star hotel (Hilton Luxor).
Day 2 - Luxor to Dendera to Hurghada
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast at the hotel, guests will be accompanied by their private tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle to visit the Valley of the Kings:
This is the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, home to tombs including those of the great pharaoh Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were well-stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the afterlife, and most of the decorations inside the tombs are still well-preserved.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Hatshepsut Temple:
This is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together.
Colossi of Memnon - Colossi of Memnon:
These are two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III, the only remnants of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone that were originally located in Cairo and then moved 700 km to Luxor.
Lunch will be provided during the trip.
Drive to Qena City to visit one of the most famous temples in Egypt, the Dendera Temple.
Dendera Temple Complex - Dendera Temple:
The Temple of Hathor was largely constructed during the Late Ptolemaic period, specifically during the reign of Ptolemy XII and Cleopatra VII, with later additions made during the Roman period. Although built by a dynasty of rulers who were not native Egyptians, the design of this temple aligns with other classical Egyptian temples, except for the front of the hypostyle hall, which, according to an inscription above the entrance, was constructed by Emperor Tiberius.
Finally, guests will be driven back to their hotel in Hurghada.
