Sapa - Between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, the journey begins from your Hanoi hotel with the Topas Mountain Express, taking you on a 5-hour transfer to Topas Ecolodge. After checking into your bungalow, you can relax and take in the stunning and serene views of the surrounding mountains and valleys from your private balcony.

Topas Ecolodge - In the afternoon, embark on a walk starting from Topas Ecolodge along a quiet road offering a magnificent view of the rice terraces below. A gentle ascent leads to Lech village, where you will visit a traditional wooden house, meet the welcoming Red Dao hosts, and observe their daily lifestyle. The Red Dao women, following their ancestors’ traditions, shave their hair and eyebrows and wear vibrant costumes. They are renowned for their exquisite handmade embroidery. On the return to Topas Ecolodge, you will traverse small trails through rice terraces and cross a suspension bridge, perfect for capturing stunning photos of the natural scenery. Your guide will share insights into the fascinating agricultural practices of the local farmers.

Terraced Rice Fields in Shin Chai Village - Enjoy a delightful breakfast and prepare for today’s adventure. At 8:30 AM, the excursion begins with a transfer deeper into Hoang Lien National Park to the trek’s starting point near Sin Chai village. Here, you are truly “off the beaten track,” surrounded by breathtaking views of towering mountains, waterfalls, and deep valleys. The trails lead to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, where you will meet the villagers, visit their homes, and learn about their daily lives. Leaving the village, a small dirt trail offers inspiring views of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts, used by local farmers as overnight lodges during harvest. After passing rice terraces and a river, a quiet road leads to Nam Cang village. Lunch is served at Topas Riverside Lodge, with the jungle behind and a river in front.

Liên Minh - Nam Cang village is situated in the most remote area of Sapa. The Red Dao women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes among Vietnam’s ethnic groups. They are highly skilled in herbal baths, local medicine, and embroidery. With your guide, explore the village and discover how locals create writing paper, jewelry, and embroidery. You might also enjoy a swim in the river.
At 14:15, a transfer will take you back to Topas Ecolodge, where you might want to book a traditional Red Dao herbal bath at the lodge’s spa.

Departing the Mountains and Returning to Hanoi (B,-,-)

Topas Ecolodge - Spend a leisurely morning at Topas Ecolodge. You can relax or borrow high-quality mountain bikes from the lodge to explore the surrounding areas. Alternatively, take a scheduled shuttle bus to Sapa to visit the town or book a half-day tour to explore the highest peak of Indochina, Mt. Fansipan (3,143m) by cable car.

Sapa - The Topas Mountain Express departs from Sapa at 13:15 and from Topas Ecolodge at 14:30, returning you to your hotel in Hanoi.
