To reach Pho village, travelers navigate winding roads near the Hoang Lien mountain slope, covering about 4km. The journey reveals a lush valley filled with corn and rice, alongside forests of Tam Hoa plums, heavy with fruit. In the distance, the traditional homes of the H’Mong people are nestled against the mountainsides and cliffs.

Every Sunday, Bac Ha Market, the largest ethnic marketplace in Northwest Vietnam, bustles with activity. The vibrant hues and elaborate attire of the locals bring the market to life. Here, you will encounter Flower Hmong (Red Hmong), Black Dao, Tay, Nung, La Chi, Phu La, and other ethnic groups from distant locales. They gather here to trade a vast assortment of merchandise and livestock, disseminate news, and refresh old acquaintances.
