It was an experience... - It was an incredible experience. Our desk was on the balcony outside with a beautiful view. The tasting includes aperitives such as cheeses from the region, jam, jelly, chestnut, etc. The women who served us were super attentive.
The museum is pretty legal too.

Great wines in a warm atmosphere - Such a great experience. My best wine tour ever and I've been to a lot of them! You feel like you're being greeted into someone's home. The Wines were delicious and the pairing snacks were great. Only a few tables so you get undivided attention. A warm and friendly vibe!

Excellent wine tour and tasting in Lamego, Quinta da Portela de Baixo - Excellent wine tour and tasting in a beautiful place with stunning views. All the guides were very knowledgeable and so, so friendly, providing such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere that we stayed for a few hours! All the wines and snacks were excellent and very good value - the white port was exceptional and the chardonnay is unlike any other (light and crisp). We'd like to say thank you to the guides for their kind and attentive service.

Beautiful day - This was a highlight in a trip filled with highlights. We so enjoyed our wine tasting with Elizabeth. It was a small winery and felt so personalized. The wines were awesome and the tastes of local foods complemented them perfectly. I strongly recommend trying them

An authentic Douro experience at excellent value. Thoroughly recommended! - This was one of, if not the, the highlight of our holiday. Thoroughly recommend this place - €30 per head - fantastic value. Family run, small private estate just outside Lamego. We have done many wine tastings in small and large establishments but this was by far the best and superb value. Our excellent host, Elizebetta, gave us a short but detailed tour of the wine making process and then settled us at a lovely table under the trees for the tasting. We had six tastings in total - sparkling, white, red and three ports - each accompanied with some very tasty snacks. The big difference here versus other tastings was the portion sizes - each glass was a proper pour, not just a measly portion on the bottom of your glass. The views were lovely and whilst we officially had a 90 min tour it was two hours before we were finished and they were happy for us to stay if we wanted. There is a little shop and we bought a couple of bottles. We found it on sale in a restaurant in Lamego that evening so enjoyed some more! If you are staying in Lamego, would recommend booking a taxi from the town (10 min drive) so you can properly enjoy this fantastic and authentic Douro experience.

Incredible happy enthusiastic, guide, historic tour, generous and delicious wine tastings, and tasty food! - Very enthusiastic and happy guide… Personalized for just me and my husband… interesting historic tour of the winery from the 1800s, followed by wine tasting and food in a lovely setting with a beautiful view. Their Sauvignon Blanc is so smooth and one of the best I've had, as was the red and The port.... Generous pours… And tasty food brought with each, olive oil, made on site, quality, bread... not rushed, we were there for hours! This is the best wine tasting experience I have ever had, and this is coming from a Californian who has done many tastings!!
