• Phulchowki - The trek to Phulchoki Hill in Nepal begins with a 20 km drive from the center of Kathmandu to Godawari. Godawari, a botanical garden located in the valley’s outskirts, marks the starting point of the hike. The trail leads through lush forests until reaching the hill’s summit.

During the hike to Phulchoki Hill, hikers may encounter various bird species such as the Rufous-gorget Flycatcher, Rufous-bellied Niltava, Yellow-browed Tit, Chestnut-headed Tesia, and Red-billed Leiothrix, among others.

Phulchoki Hill not only offers breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley but also provides vistas of the neighboring Kavre district. From Phulchoki, several hills of Nepal and the eastern part of the Annapurna range are visible. After enjoying the scenic beauty of Phulchoki Hill, the descent to Godawari is made by jeep. Visitors can also explore the Godawari Botanical Garden on the return journey to Kathmandu.

Phulchoki Hill stands as the tallest among the hills encircling the Kathmandu Valley.
