• Volcanoes National Park - Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park is an essential experience for anyone traveling to Rwanda. Depart at 4:30 am for a 2-hour and 30-minute journey to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, proceed to the park headquarters at Kinigi for a briefing by the park warden. At approximately 8:00 am, the tour guide will escort you to the starting point of the gorilla trek. Gorilla groups are assigned to guests randomly at the park headquarters. However, our knowledgeable guides have established a strong rapport with the park wardens. They usually communicate in advance to convey clients’ preferences for specific gorilla groups, often receiving a favorable response. The trek can last from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the movements of these gentle giants. Upon return, your driver will transport you back to Kigali for drop-off at your hotel or the airport for your scheduled flight home.
