The one-day Gorilla Trekking Adventure offers an incredible opportunity to connect with one of the Mountain Gorilla families in Volcanoes National Park, a sanctuary for the remaining endangered gorillas. These majestic creatures have been protected thanks to the dedication of the esteemed primatologist, Dian Fossey, who was tragically murdered in her cabin at a remote camp in Rwanda in December 1985. It is believed that her death was related to her conservation efforts, possibly by a poacher.
At 5:00 AM, the driver guide will pick up participants from their hotel and transport them to Musanze. By 7:00 AM, they will check in at the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for necessary formalities and receive a briefing before the trek begins.
During the trek, participants will have the unique chance to spend one hour with these endangered gorillas, capturing photos and videos. The adventure concludes with lunch, followed by a visit to Gorilla Guardian Village for a cultural experience.
Later, the driver guide will return participants to Kigali and drop them off at their hotel.
