Journey from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Rufiji - Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, a guide from Kihindo Tours and Safaris will meet the traveler at their hotel, airport, or ferry terminal for a safari briefing. The journey then proceeds south to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park), which is approximately a five-and-a-half-hour drive from Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, lunch will be served, followed by an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River. Overnight accommodations will be at Selous Mloka Lodge, with full board included.

Boat Safari and Return to Dar es Salaam

Nyerere National Park - After breakfast, the day is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve, with packed lunch boxes provided. During lunchtime, a picnic will be enjoyed at a site chosen by the guide. Following lunch and a period of relaxation, the game drive will continue until evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Mloka Safaris Lodge.

Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) and Return to Dar es Salaam

Nyerere National Park - The day begins with a morning walking safari, lasting approximately two and a half hours. After the walking safari, guests will return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy breakfast. Following breakfast, the journey back to Dar es Salaam will commence, with packed lunch boxes provided. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, guests will be dropped off at the airport for their flight home or at their hotel/ferry for onward travel to Zanzibar or Mafia Island.
