SO MUCH FUN. And the professional photos were a plus! - INCREDIBLE experience that combined seeing the lights, walking on a frozen lake, learning about how to spot the northern lights, forecasting and how to capture them on camera. Our guide Michal was a great photographer and was funny and informative! The group we went touring with were from Brazil and they were so fun to be with! We also got to roast some sausages and drink hot chocolate! So delicious!

High expectations - A big thanks to our Guide Genis, even if the weather was not helping to see the northern lights, he did his best driving more than he should do, just to give us that emotional moment that all of us were waiting for, and yes, finally we got some northern lights moments, his experience, patience and knowledge made our experience just Fantastic. Thank you March 28th 2025

Perfect - We had an incredible small group with people from all over the world with an enthusiastic guide. We drove about an hour east, where there was no light pollution. We had an incredible light show. If we had done a private tour, we would have gone home after we saw the lights, but the best came around 1030 pm. I highly recommend this tour.

An enjoyable hunt for the Northern Lights - The most important thing to remember is that there can never be a guarantee that the Northern Lights will 'perform'. So much depends upon weather conditions as well as solar activity. There was a very modest amount of Northern Light activity during our excursion but we still enjoyed the trip out into the snow-covered landscape, the welcome snack over a crackling fire and the assistance and commentary of our very knowledgeable guide.

Amazing Experience! Highly Recommend! - My partner and I had such an amazing night on this tour. Our tour guide Martina was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all things Lapland & northern lights. We had the perfect conditions and felt super lucky to see some really strong auroras. Martina captured some amazing photos too! Would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking.

Magic - Do it! Rug up as standing on a frozen lake is super chilly but watching the northern lights dance above you is pure magic! Angelo was our tour guide and took great care of us. Having a hot chocolate by a fire after seeing the lights was very comforting. Highly recommend doing this tour.

A very good evening - We had a great evening with Maca! Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed the barbecue around the fire, the Family Friendly formula being ideal for her (clearly she could not walk and stay standing in the snow and cold). The weather was clear as the evening went on, but we could still see aurora on the end that slipped between the clouds. However, if your children are older (I would say 8/9 years minimum), do not hesitate to take the formula that will allow you to move more and really look for aurora. Many thanks to Maca who is a super friendly and friendly guide, and who taught us a lot:-)

A Mixed Experience, But Great Guide! - Our family visited Rovaniemi in late November and joined this tour with high hopes of witnessing the aurora borealis for the first time. Unfortunately, the weather just didn’t cooperate. Thick cloud cover across the entire region meant there was no chance of seeing the lights that night. In hindsight, we felt the tour probably should have been cancelled or rescheduled, as the forecast was quite clear that visibility would be poor. That said, we want to give a big shoutout to our guide, who truly made the most of a disappointing situation. He was fantastic with our two girls! He was as fun and engaging as one could be when driving all over looking for a clearing. At our last stop, he took time to snap some creative and silly photos with them using fun camera techniques. His positive energy helped lift the disappointed mood of the group. Even without the auroras, he did his best to turn the evening into a memorable experience for the kids, which we really appreciated. Overall, while it was hard not to feel let down by the lack of aurora borealis, the personal touches and kid-friendly approach from our guide made the night more enjoyable than it could have been. If you're traveling with children, this tour company clearly knows how to connect with families. Just be sure to double-check the weather forecast before booking!

Terrible customer experience ever. A scam! - Terrible customer experience ever. The only travel agency in Rovaniemi that does not cancel nor reschedule the aurora tours in case of bad weather. It has been a real scam, we spent 129€ each person to have a grilled sausage in a tent (it was pork and not Kobe meat) as the weather conditions did not allow for an aurora sightseeing. As said, the other companies in Rovaniemi cancel/reschedule in case of bad weather conditions or, when they are not sure about the weather, inform the customer during the day about the real probability/possibility (estimated %) to see the aurora and let the customer decide whether to take the risk or get refunded/rescheduled. Definitely a more professional approach!!! We requested Wild About Lapland to cancel the tour the day before as weather conditions and forecasts were very bad (and all the other companies cancelled the tours planned for that day and the day after) but the company refused. Please don't waste your time and money!
