Best Team - Had an amazing experience with the artic GM team! Despite the weather being really bad, our guide was so professional and determined he even drove us across to Sweden to give us the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights. He kept explaining everything, made the whole trip fun, and took so many beautiful pictures for us. Super friendly and genuinely passionate about what he does. They truly go the extra mile to make sure you see the aurora. Absolutely worth the money ,highly recommend!

Awesome aurora experience in Lapland! - This experience was one for the books. After reading other reviews, I was expecting we’d have to travel far to catch the aurora but not in this case. We only drove about 45 minutes from our accommodations, which was such a nice surprise. What truly made this experience unforgettable though was our tour guide, Eliot. His energy was everything! So funny, upbeat, and genuinely made the whole night fun. He was very knowledgeable about the auroras and made sure every single person in the group felt included and got equal attention. He really went above and beyond for us. He let us warm up in the van when it got cold, shared his charger so our phones wouldn’t die (huge plus), and even had berry juice and muffins for us. It’s those small details that made a big difference. And his photography skills? Top tier. We saw some absolutely beautiful auroras and had a blast just fully immersing ourselves in the experience. 5/5 — would definitely recommend, especially if you get Eliot as your guide! — The Cool American 😎

Magical Northern Lights - It was truly a magical experience and to see Northern Lights with the naked eye was a blissful event. The guide, Elena, was excellent with all her experience and expertise. We had to wait for 2 days to see the magic of nature but it was truly worth the wait. I guess we got lucky that we booked in this season otherwise may be we would have been cancelled in peak season time. Thank you for everything and we are awaiting our magical photos. Also a request, the guide had taken pictures of the just the Northern lights, if they can be shared as well would be really great.

Superb aurora chase experience with Arctic GM - Great overall experience! It was a long and hectic journey but it was worth all the time and effort when the sky opened up deep inside of Sweden and we got a great show (even though it was brief). Thanks to the guide (Mehmood / Mohammed from Turkey). He was great, drove responsibly, waited at the right spot at the right time, took more than enough photos! Glad we chose Arctic GM! Highly recommend it.

Road trip! - We saw amazing lights, even though it was raining in Rovaniemi when we left! All were prepared for a long 3+ hour drive through Sweden to find a patch of open sky - and we did! The driver had so many resources and experience, that we relaxed, trusting our guide George completely. (It seemed like other vans were following us, I think they knew our guide was the best ;-). He got just as excited as us when he found them, just seconds before they rippled across the sky. The lights were very strong for 10+ minutes, but they were visible as a mist/cloud for almost an hour. The guide took as many pictures as we wanted, and will send a link to photos a few days later. It is a long drive if it’s cloudy in Rovaniemi, so bring plenty of data to catch up on emails and write up your trip notes - or listen to your audiobook while enjoying the long, dark, snowy road lined with trees. Our trip took 10 hours total. The next night was clear in R. and the other guests got back after only 4 hours. Warning: there is only ONE gas station along the entire route with a bathroom, and it’s only one toilet for 1-3 vans, for ~ 24 people - very very clean though. Take small sips if you must drink, or be prepared to “go behind the van” if you can. Thanks George and Arctic GM! You are the pros!

Fantastic experience! - Absolutely fantastic! Sure, the circumstances were generally favourable in terms of sun activity, but the weather was not - cloudy, rain... I was not expecting much, but boy was I wrong.... such a dedicated team, going far and beyond. We drove into Sweden, going places, and there they were, the best Northern Lights I could have ever wished for. Unbelievable. Group was nice (courtesy of luck) and we had a lot of fun. BUT: Marie was our tour guide and she took EXCEPTIONALLY UNBELIEVABLE pictures. Really. Scrapped mine. Made a couple of tours and BY FAR there is no comparison to Marie's pix. Met wild reindeers along the way (Marie couldn't conjure up a moose though - shame :o) ). Absolute recommendation - there are no boundaries for this company, they are equipped, dedicated, focussed and yes it's not cheap but worth every single dime tenfold. Thumbs up!

Terrible communication and poorly skilled guides - I would not recommend this tour to anyone. I have the good luck of being able to compare with another tour my family and I took the night before this tour, and the experience was so much better (at nearly a third the cost). Communication prior to the tour was very confusing- I received the same email multiple times, requesting confirmation of the same information. On the day of the tour, I had to ask my hotel to call Arctic GM because they sent yet another request for sizes, our hotel address for pickup, etc. Even the hotel representative said she had a difficult time communicating with the person she spoke with at Arctic GM. On the night of the tour, our guide (whose name has been provided directly to Arctic GM) insisted for at least an hour that we were "guaranteed a spectacular show"...in the end we were able to see very light auroras for about 30 mins and then nothing. Nature is nature, and I don't blame the guide for how the evening turned out, but he unnecessarily raised expectations. The drink and snacks were identical (and very, very mediocre) as my tour the prior night (the one that was 1/3 the cost of this one). I received a message the morning after the tour that it would take 4 days for a link to the photos to be shared. I patiently waited 5 days, checked back, and was told it would take even longer. Then I received a link 30 mins later. The photos were terrible. Our guide needs a lot of photography training. He directed the flash into our eyes- our faces are washed out, eyes squinting, and background is blurred in every photo. He was aware of the issue with the flash as he was taking the pictures and insisted he would correct in editing. Any photographer knows that you aim to take a solid photo, not rely on editing. The guide repeatedly dismissed my request to lower the volume of his playlist in the van. I have autism and large sounds actually hurt. He dismissed me for two hours and kept the volume high because he needed to "maintain an ambiance"; he only lowered the volume when another group asked as well. I shared feedback about the tour guide'e behaviors and poor quality of photos with Arctic GM via WhatsApp. I received a standard reply about how they were sorry I felt that way. This is after I shared that Arctic GM's communication lacked accountability and clarity. I feel they should have offered a partial if not full refund for the guide's behavior and poor photography skills - but nothing. Save your money and go with another tour group. Arctic GM is really not worth the expense.
