Great experience - This was a really cool activity to do, I do wish there were some things we know before we signed up. We were staying at Vaattunki resort which is a little out of town. Our meet time was 6:15. We drove to city office of Safartika (stopping at Santa village for a pickup) and then had to wait about 30 mins for a bus to arrive to take us and the other 27 people booked on the trip. Apparently this trip is sold out every day. We left office at 7:30 for our 30 min ride to the lake. We were then split into two groups. We were in the first group who changed and floated. Getting in and out of the lake is a little precarious as there is only 1 guide suited for the float. We had about 6 children in our group and it is quite a scary feeling getting in the cold dark water. One of the kids panicked and started splashing and kicking around. As you cannot really move your head left to right without really lifting your head, I imagine the parent of this child would have also panicked. We floated for about 30 mins and at that point I would’ve been happy to leave, however we had to then wait in the tepee for the next group to go through the whole experience. We finally got back after dropping many off along the way at 11:30pm. This is a good experience but could be streamlined by Safartika. Northern lights were visible through iPhone this night but you couldn’t really be able to see from the water as it’s too hard to keep your head up. It’s also hard to get photos. One woman in our group gave the camera to the guide and we airdropped after the event.

Highlight of our trip! - A MUST DO! and our guide was fun and provided an exceptional experience! The lights on this particular night were AMAZING and our guide extended the tour so we didnt miss a moment!

ICE FLOATING WITH THE BEST GUIDE - THE BEST GUIDE - IRENA😍 lovely woman with amazing knowledge! She took us for Ice Floating, she showed us everything and made our dreams come true! It was so special to spend time with her and we will never forget it. Her involvement and and character was so charming, she was so open to our questions (we had A LOT)🤪 We really loved her and that trip!

Great experience - It was a great experience. Giselle was a super Guiede. She took good care of us and also took great photos/videos. We were lucky and could even see the Northern Lights after we got out of the water.

Unique experience - We were glad that we did this experience. We had a really clear night and saw millions of stars but it was a bit early for aurora (we did see it later that evening!) The suits were fine - didn’t smell and didn’t leak. The organisation could have been better. Pick up time changed 3 times and we were even asked to make our own way into Rovaniemi centre at one point, even though we’d paid for pick up included. The guide didn’t speak to us at all so we had no idea where we were heading or what to expect when we got there. Transfer time took over an hour even though the lake was 20 minutes from where we were staying as we were picked up first and driven back into town. Overall it was good to have done it but I’d perhaps look for a different company.

I wouldn’t put this on... - I wouldn’t put this on the top of my to do list. From all the experiences we had - this was our least favorite. We all enjoyed the floating in the water and the company is great - however compared to all the other incredible things available to do - this for us wasn’t a highlight. We did have a great laugh however in the outfits and floating about like bloated seals😬🤪

The experience of ice... - The experience of ice floating is amazing and highly recommended. The company we went to Nordic Unique travels is very bad. The activity was supposed to be at 7:30pm, they changed the time once to 5:30pm, then they changed it again to 7:30pm. On the day the tour guide called us at 6 asking where we were, saying the tour is at 5:30pm. We reached and showed her the message, she was understanding but the company didn’t do anything and they told us just go anyways you don’t need much time there which is not true. Thanks to guide she was flexible enough and gave us 15 minutes extra to complete the experience.

No trip, no refund - The tour was canceled an hour before it was supposed to start. After requesting a refund I still haven't received a refund. It's been over a month now.

LITTLE TRANSPARENCY AND UNCLARITY ON EXCURSIONS .. DO NOT DO NORTHERN LIGHTS BECAUSE THERE IS NO - Bad experience. We called before leaving the number on google to book a package of excursions asking to speak with someone who spoke Italian. They called us back from a girl named FEDERICA who told us to contact her through EVANEOS to get the quote. Once we paid everything and arrived at the agency, we realize that we had paid almost double. When asked for explanations we were answered by federica that she had never told us to use Evaneos (portal that we did not even know before talking to her) and that those were operating and agency costs. Or 700€. Nothing of the sort was mentioned in the quote. The result is lost money and being taken for fools. 0 PROFESSIONALISM AND ZERO SUPPORT. DO NOT TRUST. I repeat we contacted the agency directly from Italy and the agency itself had Federica call us back who told me to contact her on EVANEOS. Not knowing anything of course we trusted, but it was a bad choice. In the google review the agency tells me that we should have booked with them and not online; I wonder but online or by phone are not the same thing? Unprofessional and not even an EXCUSE or try to make up for it maybe giving us the difference. Absolutely shameful and disappointing.

Don’t use this tour agency, Thera are mor responsable an high quality service - I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the complete disorganization of the tour. Two days before the tour, I was informed of an arbitrary schedule change, only for it to be reverted to the original time later. This should have been an early indication of the lack of coordination. Upon arriving at the meeting point, the area was overcrowded and chaotic, making it impossible to navigate or find assistance. There was no staff available to provide clear guidance, let alone respond kindly to inquiries. Eventually, a young man rushed us to a small 5x5 meter cabin packed with 20 people attempting to change in an incredibly cramped space. The so-called “guide” neither offered assistance nor explained what was going to happen. We were left to fend for ourselves, moving between the facilities and the water without any support. My mother was given a wetsuit that was already wet, which soaked her socks and thermal clothing before the activity even began. When she requested a different suit, the overcrowding made the situation unbearable, triggering claustrophobia and preventing her from completing the experience. The lack of organization was evident in every aspect: overbooked groups, poorly trained staff, and a complete absence of customer service. The facilities were inadequate, with just one restroom for an excessive number of people. The area where we were supposed to float was overcrowded, causing constant collisions with others. Back in the “dressing room,” there was no one available to assist with removing the wetsuit. Later, we were offered a small cup of hot sugary juice in another overcrowded space, where it was impossible to even sit down. The entire experience was unpleasant due to the poor equipment, excessive number of participants, and lack of service. I would neither recommend your tours nor book with your company again. In contrast, we recently participated in several tours with Arctic Circle, which provided a vastly superior experience. Their staff prioritizes customer care, uses high-quality equipment, offers spacious facilities, and handles everything professionally. I hope this reaches your customer service team.
